Rosa Italiana

Milani Rosa Italiana Baked Highlighter ($10.99 for 0.28 oz.) is a light copper with warmer, brownish undertones and lighter, golden shimmer and sparkle throughout. It was more prone to emphasizing my skin’s natural texture, especially any dryness, as the highlighter had a drier, chunkier feel where the shimmer/sparkle separated more from the base.

It had medium, buildable color coverage, which was as marketed, and it blended out without difficulty, but I didn’t think it was the most flattering highlighter on my skin (and these days, it’s not hard to find one that is). It stayed on well for seven and a half hours before fading a bit, and had some migration over time.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I’m surprised by the shimmer/sparkle in this shade because I own Dolce Perla, a pale pink ivory, and there’s no shimmer or glitter in that at all. I hate sparkly highlighters and would have returned Dolce Perla to Ulta if it had any or emphasized texture. That’s disappointing for this shade.
