Milani Bronze Beauty & Cherry Crave Color Statement Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Milani Bronze Beauty Lipstick
Milani Bronze Beauty Lipstick

Milani Bronze Beauty Lipstick ($5.49 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “bronze shimmer.” It’s a brightened, medium-dark copper with lighter copper frost and a warm, reddish undertone. It had mostly opaque color coverage, wore well for five hours, and was just a smidgen drying overall. MAC Who’s That Chick (LE, $15.00) is lighter. MAC Sheer Seduction (LE, $15.00) is lighter, less red. Maybelline Mochachino (P, $7.49) is less frosted. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Authentic (P, $18.00) is similar. See comparison swatches.

Cherry Crave Lipstick ($5.49 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “red pearl metallic.” It’s a bright red with subtle warm undertones and metallic red shimmer. This shade had full color coverage, and it wore for six and a half hours, plus a residual stain was left behind. It felt a little drying towards the end of the wear. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Role Play (P, $18.00) is a bit darker. Guerlain Pour Troubler (P, $35.00) is pinker. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Super NSFW (P, $18.00) is similar but warmer-toned. See comparison swatches.

Bronze Beauty looks really similar to Bad Penny by Portland Black Lipstick Company! Their lipsticks are generally pretty creamy and moisturising so if anyone likes the look of Bronze Beauty but prefers supporting indie brands..you should check that out. Bad Penny is more opaque, but the packaging of the Milani is obv. better.

OCC Authentic is my 1st lip tar purchase and I was slightly disappointed. The formula is great. It reminds me of a super saturated, pigmented, yet comfortable shellac that takes only a little dab and wears like iron. However, the color didn’t look like metal to me. I think Milani Bronze Beauty has the frosty, gilded look that I’m looking for.
