This palette is so incredibly awesome! I was kind of unsure about it because there were a bunch of neutrals (I have both Naked 1 and 2 so I'm pretty set on neutrals) and some colors that I didn't think I'd use but I'm so glad I bought it. The colors are all stunning--Prank, which sheers out really easily, is the only one I'm not in love with--and the possibilities for looks are endless. Even the neutrals have some spunk to them (Ambush totally blew me away: it looks super ordinary in the pan but GORGEOUS when swatched) to keep them from being too common. The array of colors means that you can go neutral or smoky or bright with ease. I love that there's pretty much one of every color (except orange or yellow, both of which I'd love to see done by UD). As soon as I got it, I did a random smoky look using Smokeout, Lovesick, Voodoo, Betrayal, Madness, Shellshock, Dope, and Habit--literally going "hmm, what if I added this next?"--and it turned out great even for a makeup newbie like me. The palette itself is extremely pretty, the button makes the mirror pop up by itself (which made my jaw drop from glee when I first opened it), and the mirror both stands up on its own and is big enough to actually use (which for someone who normally wears glasses like me and has to get up close to a mirror to do make-up is SUCH a plus). The only other gripe I'd have is with the double ended brush, which is kind of small for my liking. Still, it seems like it's pretty good quality. Overall, for $59 dollars you're getting 19 beautiful colors (and 1 so-so one), so I'd definitely say that it's worth it.
I'm really annoyed that this foundation didn't work for me 🙁 I'm giving it three stars because lord, it looked beautiful. It made my skin tone even out and did a good job at hiding some of my old acne scars and redness. I loved the semi-matte finish, which had just enough luminosity to make my skin glow. Unfortunately, that's where my praise runs out. This foundation made me break out terribly within like two days of using it and we're talking huge, nasty, painful cystic acne that I'm only just recovering from. It turns out that it's NOT oil free, which means bad times for my combination-leaning-oily skin. Plus, even with a finishing powder, this stuff just melted off, even inside in air conditioning. Five or six hours after application, every time I touched my face it would still be coming off. This meant that although it looked perfect when I did it, it became more and more uneven throughout the day. I just returned my bottle to Sephora and switched it with the MUFE HD foundation, which hopefully will work better!
I got this on sale from Urban Decay's website because I thought it would work great to help darken some lipsticks I have (particularly MAC's Rebel). While it works great for that purpose, it's definitely not very wearable on its own, as it makes my lips look oddly gray: it's not opaque enough to turn my lips black but not sheer enough to just darken the natural pink tint. It does add a very pretty, super-glossy, super glittery sheen on top of lipsticks though. Otherwise, it just feels like a typical Lip Junkie gloss: thin, nicely mint-scented, with a tingly feeling due to the plumping stuff in it (I find that the tingling comes through more when the gloss isn't applied over lipstick).
THIS. LIPSTICK. IS. AMAZING. I'm only just getting into high-end makeup and had basically thought that paying 15 bucks for a MAC lipstick was expensive enough. However, Urban Decay hasn't let me down yet so I figured I'd try out these new lipsticks. I got this color and F-Bomb (which might be my new HG red lipstick because holy WOW, it's such an awesome rock star red color) and they are so worth the cost! I wanted a color somewhat like MAC's Candy Yum-Yum but not in a matte finish and Anarchy looked close. It's definitely a super vivid bright blue-pink. The lipstick is so pigmented in only one sweep--and that one sweep soaks every inch of your lips in color. I've always had trouble with getting color in the fine lines of my lips but this lipstick has no problem with that. Because of this, the lipstick does actually succeed at its claim that it makes your lips look fuller. There's no scent or taste as far as I can tell. The color also lasts for a really long time without killing my lips. I will say that though I love the packaging and size (it looks classy and feels appropriately heavy), I'm not a huge fan of the shape. I've got a very defined Cupid's Bow and the round shape makes it hard to color in that area without also coloring in the little divot between the Bow. I suppose that that would be easy enough to fix with a lip brush. End of the story is that this lipstick is AWESOME.
Such a showstopper of a red color! It's super flattering on my warm skin due to it's orange tones and is my bright, sexy red (Russian Red is my darker red shade). Lasts probably 4-5 hours and leaves a slight stain behind. I would definitely recommend going into a MAC store to try it on before buying it as it is a very bright shade. It's a great shade of red for summertime!
A beautiful shade of red! I have warm toned skin and this is still very flattering on me. It's my darker, sexier shade of red (Lady Danger is my bright red). Even though it's not a hydrating lipstick, it's very creamy when it goes on and it's opaque in one sweep. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great, versatile red.
Just bought this today because I was looking for a good nude lip liner to go under the lipstick I bought (I bought three different shades and didn't want to shell out money for three different liners). It works just great and is pigmented enough that you could wear it alone. However, it is somewhat drying so if you did want to do that, I'd recommend using a good lip balm or gloss to help hydrate your lips.
Love love love this! I just bought it today as a random pick when I went into my local MAC store to find a good red lipstick. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. It's very soft and creamy when you put it on though it's not a moisturizing lipstick (I have great lip balm that might help with that). It lasted about 6 hours on me but then again, I wasn't doing much eating or drinking, and it did leave a slight stain behind afterwards. You also don't have to put a lot on in order to have it be opaque which is great. Plus, it supports a great cause so it was totally worth it. I might buy another one. It's a great, bright, and fun color for spring/summer. I love the fact that it's a warm-toned pink since so many pink lipsticks are cool-toned/blue-based.
I was actually kind of terrified of this color but I bought it because it had so many good reviews. It was such a good choice! The color really compliments my skin (I'm pale but warm toned) and, according to my friends, lights my whole face up. It's very easy to tone down if you put it on lightly: by doing this, I can make it more coral toned than pure orange. I would definitely give it a try as it's a great color for summer!
I absolutely love this color. Any green eyed ladies should definitely check it out. It looks lovely blended in with a dark maroon/burgundy in the crease and definitely provides a good pop of color.
