Marc Jacobs Beauty Summer 2019 Launches | Swatches
For summer, Marc Jacobs Beauty has added Tantalize to their Dew Drops (liquid highlighter) and O!Mega Bronzer ranges along with six new lipgloss shades.
To celebrate Pride, the lipglosses will have a special, rainbow-hued sleeve and 10% of profits will be donated via Marc Jacobs directly from June 6th through July 10th. Sephora is donating $1 from the sale of the glosses during June.
I wasn’t familiar with the advocacy group Sage so in case anyone else is curious here’s what I found on their website: We’re a national advocacy and services organization that’s been looking out for LGBT elders since 1978. We build welcoming communities and keep our issues in the national conversation to ensure a fulfilling future for all LGBT people.
That sounds like a wonderful organization but I can’t help wishing they’d donate a larger portion of sales and it’s only on the glosses whereas Urban Decay is donating 25% to the Stonewall Foundation. I hope Pride month doesn’t go the way of breast cancer awareness month in October where so many companies sell a bunch of pink things for “awareness” but not actually donate anything.
So yeah, I’m definitely purchasing a couple of those glosses but then I’m going to actually donate to Sage directly.
The glosses are super-pretty. I was hoping the silver one would be a little more opaque and actually show as somewhat silver on the lips, but I’m probably in the minority there. It’s still really nice, as is Tempt Me.
Then I’ll join the minority. I would have been ordering it now if it had been silverier.
I’m glad I’m not alone! I think a semi-opaque, sparkly silver would be stunning alone and as a topper.
I was definitely leaning towards Silver Surf out of the chute from the promo, but I dunno… swatches are not wow’ing me. Taking a pass.
I’ll probably pick up “Not Sorry and the purple one for my daughter “Tempt Me”. Since it’s for a good cause and I like Marc Jacobs lip glosses.
I’m seriously digging the Dew Drops in Tantalize! Of all the various such products swarming the market this summer, this has to be my favorite. I’d mix a little into lotion and apply to my legs, shoulders and decollete.
It’s definitely a worthy cause and I am liking the bronzey lip gloss. The swatches look pretty good.
Wow a pink that’s not loaded with gold! I too wish the silver was better but I may get that hot punk.
Looking forward to the reviews of these! :o)
As so many have said, I wish the Silver had better pigmentation, also. It is pretty though and even worn without another shade under it, as Christine has shown, you can tell that it is silver. I think the silver will be more prominent when used over another product but many wear glosses alone so that may be a deal breaker. I can’t remember if I have tried MJ glosses. I want to say that I haven’t so I will look at these when I am in the city. I have only recently, like a year, been using much lip gloss and that is thanks to Pat McGrath. I love her formula.
A tad disappointed in the swatches, but perhaps that’s because I expected them to be as pigmented as Not Sorry and the current Enamored lineup (which are some of my most favorite lip products at the moment!) I have three of them, the Enamored Lip Gloss Sticks in Uh-Huh Honey, Mocha Choco-lata and my latest, Sugar Sugar.
Christine, I know it’s likely me, but I can’t find your look for the Tantalize product and I really like that pigmentation on the eyes!!! Vibrant and summer”ish”!
I found it! Ahhhh! Another reason to purchase the Sunrise palette! I have Sunset and that eye look wowed me! https://www.temptalia.com/looks/from-sunrise-to-sunset-look-featuring-natasha-denona/
Oh no, it’s not the same look, but close. So yes, please do share the link to the Tantalize look, thanks!
