Marc Jacobs Beauty Pink Diamond & Wrecked Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyls Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Marc Jacobs Beauty Pink Diamond (326) Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyl
Marc Jacobs Beauty Pink Diamond (326) Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyl is described as a “light mauve pink with copper sheen.” It’s a neutral, rosy pink with warmer, golden champagne shimmer. It had semi-sheer color coverage (and it is part of the Sheer range) with noticeable shimmer and lightening of the natural lip color. The milkiness of the color, though, settled into lip lines and didn’t go on evenly. It lasted for three and a half hours on me but was hydrating during that time. NARS Candy Says (LE, $26.00) is less golden. MAC Rags to Riches (P, $20.00) is more sparkly. MAC Floating Lotus (P, $20.00) is sheerer. Bobbi Brown Pink Gold (P, $24.00) is similar. Bobbi Brown Bellini (P, $24.00) is less milky. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Wrecked (332) Lust for Lacquer Lip Vinyl is described as a “shimmering bright red.” It’s a muted, medium-dark red with warm undertones and a smattering of gold and fuchsia shimmer. The formula yielded semi-sheer color coverage, which settled slightly into lip lines, but looked fairly even otherwise. The color wore well for four hours and was moisturizing while worn. NARS Scandal (P, $26.00) is sheerer. NARS Eternal Red (P, $26.00) is less shimmery. Shiseido Lust (RD305) (P, $25.00) is more opaque, less shimmery. Maybelline Signature Scarlet (020) (P, $8.99) is more opaque, less shimmery. NARS Hollywoodlawn (LE, $26.00) is less shimmery. MAC Totally Fab (LE, $20.00) is more opaque. Chanel Exces (P, $32.00) is less shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Pink Diamond looks pretty, but I have Bobbi Brown’s Pink Gold so I’m good. 🙂
Yay! Glad you’ve got a dupe!
I really need Pink Diamond !!!
It is a pretty mix of color + shimmer!
Love the color and gold shimmer on these, but but for $ 28, it has to apply evenly, have more pigment, and not settle into lip lines. Probably works better layered over a lipstick
I’m with you – probably better for layering.
Great colors! I think glosses are hard to rate because what works for one person, is not acceptable for another, so thanks for this review! I always look out for ultra-moisturizing lip glosses, because we all have had the glosses that dry out lips, and noone wants that! Good to know these last a while(3-4 hrs is pretty good for lipgloss!)
I try to review based on whatever the company says about the product, and then if the reader loves that it is more pigmented or less, it’s all out there for ’em!
In the tube, Pink Diamond looks very pretty. Applied, a little disappointing. I understand that it’s a sheer formula, but it doesn’t seem like there is enough bang for the buck.
Will have to pass on both.
Money saved 🙂
Very pretty and sparkly, but dupable, I think.
Yes, dupable for sure!
Pink Diamond reminds me a bit of Burt’s Bees gloss in Sunny Day, though that may be slightly more sheer. …but that does retail for $9 and can probably be found on sale, so that might make the difference negligable.
Worth considering/trying if one can for the savings alone!
I like the colour and shimmer of both of these, but the lipline settling makes me twitch (as usual ;-). I just finished a couple of glosses recently, so I was hoping these would be worth lusting after, but I guess my wallet is safe… for now… 😀
Just a little twith 😉
Pink Diamond really looks pretty! It’s girly and cute but not too cutesie or too Barbie, you know?
Must be how it is a lighter base!
Pink Diamond looks wonderful, but I think Rags to Riches might suit my glitter addiction better 😉
Oh yes, Rags to Riches if you like your glitter!!
Pink Diamond looks so magnificent in the tube – too bad it doesn’t translate as well on the lips. This is one of the first MJ products I’ve been so drawn to just based on the look of it.
It is probably better layered, but it’s not my favorite alone.
I never purchased any of the marc jacobs glosses because I read a lot of reviews that said the packaging was faulty and the product leaks out.Do you know if this is still the case with these glosses or if they were fixed. Thanks
I’ve never had that issue, but I don’t carry them with me!
I’m so here for Pink Diamond!!
Awesome 😀
Wrecked kind of reminds me of Revlon’s Cherries in the Glow.
Nice!
I ordered the Pink Diamond online (20% VIB at sephora). I can’t wait to wear it! I have the Marc Jacobs (Have we Met?) and i’m going to finish it with Pink Diamond. I’m excited to get it in the mail tomorrow!
Thanks for the review!
Awesome! Enjoy your new MJB goodies!
