Style Eye-Con No. 7 Plush Shadow, $59.00
- The Social Butterfly Neutrals (Exclusive to Neiman Marcus/Bergdorf Goodman)
How I wish this palette was available here and that it was “only” $59. The MJ 7 pan palettes are $71 each here and only likely to get more expensive with the falling Canadian dollar.
$71? For 7 teeny tiny colors? $59 is expensive! They are a great formula but wow!
Positive: Ebates percentages are often higher at these stores at certain times of the year and this also gives us an extra place to find something if sold out on Sephora.
?Christine, will you be reviewing this one?
Possible Cons: With more distribution, will the product quality lessen? Store only limited editions that aren’t price friendly for Canadians and may cause confusion as to whether all is still on Marc Jacob’s site or only the stores promoted at?
That does look pretty…
I checked and my local NM will have a counter (yay!!), will swing by tomorrow to check it out. Sephora carries MJ, but the displays can be kind of messy/missing testers, and they don’t have room to display all of the foundation shades. Also eagerly looking forward to NM exclusives or GWP. I don’t need another neutrals palette, but this looks like a really nice mix of finishes and goof-proof colors, wish they would’ve added 1 more medium brown, because I can see myself using up the dark brown first.
This looks nice. But,his palettes are hit or miss. Christine, are you reviewing this? Any idea if it is LE or permanent? I’m guessing permanent to Neiman’s because their is nothing that says it is limited on the site?
This will be a pass for me.
these look like workable colors..hate to buy a palette and on use 2 or 3 especially at that price
I’m not sure I would buy it personally, considering the mixed product reviews I’ve seen for MJ products, but it would be interesting to see what others think of it.
Another gorgeous palette from Marc Jacobs. Like Mariella above – it would never be $59 but more like $80+
Very cool update, as NM at SFS tends to be a bit “calmer” than Sephora most days! Although this exclusive palette isn’t exactly rocking my world, probably because I already have too many neutrals as it is, though.
I can’t put my finger on why, but these colors are very off-putting to me. Maybe the photo and my monitor just aren’t getting along, but most of these shades look rather ugly to me.
This news surprised me a bit, since MJ Beauty was originally presented in the “Sephora Originals” lineup. I didn’t realize that Kendo had separated from Sephora. Literally all of these companies are in the LVMH portfolio as well, so confusing. Either way, they are crushing it – very smart marketing approach and good product, might I add.
This change up of availability won’t change my shopping habits. There isn’t a Neiman Marcus in NYC (one coming 2018? Hudson Yards is a bit out of the way though) and I barely ever go to Bergdorf. Anything I can buy at Sephora – I will. It has a strong hold on my shopping habits. Tons of convenient locations coupled with amazing app/website user experience and the ability to direct compare all the products vs the old and tired makeup counter model. This palette is not enticing me in any way
Marc Jacobs Beauty is also launching in Harrods in the UK this year 😀
