Christine, do you plan to review the palettes? My experience with MUR eyeshadows has been rather disappointing so far – either lack of pigment or shadows fading after like 3 hours with a primer. Maybe I had bad luck, as obviously I haven’t tried everything from them, and they release new products more often than Colourpop themselves…

My daughter loves The Nightmare Before Christmas movie. I had to order something for her. Last night I brought the 2 makeup bags and brush set. Not sure about the quality of the eye shadows. My daughters a minimalist and doesn’t want more makeup. She actually hits pan before buying makeup. Something I admire but can’t duplicate.

The brushes look cute!

I have a love/hate relationship with Makeup Revolution eyeshadows though – some are brilliant and some are just dire and require a LOT of work (Fundamental palette, such pretty colours, soooooo much effort to make them look good, ugggggghhh!) so I think it’s safe to say I’ll pass on the palettes.

The highlighters look gorgeous though, and I still have one of their liquid highlighters in the glass skull bottle from last year.

I’m not even sure how I feel about Makeup Revolution (and their sister/sub-brands) as a company, but I know I’m not a fan of megapalettes—let alone two—and when I think of “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” particularly Oogie Boogie, I think of glow-in-the-dark/UV fluorescent colors. Admittedly, there are much more than just neons in the movie and such colorants are typically not FDA-approved for facial cosmetics, but that’s what I’d want from something named for Oogie!!

I hate everything about this! ? As soon as I heard Makeup Revolution was coming out with a Nightmare Before Christmas palette, I knew it would be a disappointment. As a huge fan of the movie, everything from the shade names to the colors really lets me down. Much like the Colourpop Hocus Palette, this palette is a missed opportunity for something that could have been really cool, considering the source material has so many interesting colors and themees! My friend and I are actually doing an instagram collab tomorrow where we share our own custom NBC palettes.

I adore TNBC, but the color schemes seem rather tame and random, though the packaging is cute. Overall kind of disappointing, and I’ll probably skip.

I’d rather get the upcoming Shroud x BeautBean eye palette that’s coming out.

The most I want from this collection is probably the brushes and bags . I think as far as Halloween palettes look I would rather try Shroud X Beautybean’s Its Freaking Bats . The color story there is super Halloweeny . I only own one Makeup Revolution palette , its not bad but I don’t super love the color story for either of these .

I haven’t heard many positive reviews about Makeup Revolution but this packaging is absolutely adorable! I would almost buy it just for the packaging.

I am a huge wimp and am terrified of clowns, scary movies, Halloween stories w full costumes and full masks. I only liked it when our kids were little and we took them to all the neighbors we knew. Obviously, this won’t work for me. ( I still have nightmares from the black and white original King Kong movie.)

Hard pass. I have extensive experience with MUR eye shadows and they are ok at best and, more often than not, not good at all. I’ve caved over the years when I got sucked in by a unique color scheme or fun packaging across all their various labels, but I’ve been disappointed enough to now write them off.

I like a handful of the colors in the palettes but I am truly baffled by the size of the palettes. It could have easily been just 1 palette where one side is Jack and the other is Sally if they wanted to keep it at 36 shades (which is still way too many). I am intrigued by the highlights but I have had such a mixed experience with Makeup Revolution products that I am less inclined to add this to my collection.

Makeup Revolution (and all their similarly named brands) are such garbage quality I’ll never get suckered in to buying them again……but this is cute as hell and I want more (higher quality) brands to do Halloween collections!!
