Moon Glow Lights
Makeup Revolution Moon Glow Lights Strobe Highlighter ($6.00 for 0.26 oz.) is a soft, pale pink with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. Of the four shades available in the range, this shade had the most natural of finishes. It could easily be used on its own, layered with any blush or bronzer, or even used to tamp down an over-the-top highlighter without dulling it. The consistency was soft, somewhat dusty and dry to the touch, but it applied well to bare skin and did not look dry on. It had medium, buildable coverage, as described, and lasted for seven and a half hours on me.
The Strobe Highlighter formula is described as a “light powder highlighter [that] gives a natural illumination.” It’s supposed to have buildable coverage, and it can also be used wet for a stronger finish. The texture reminds me of parchment–a little dry, almost “noisy” when I run my finger over it. There was a dryness present that I find common to more baked and mineralize kind of products, which is noticeable in the pan but rarely on the skin (where it counts the most!). The coverage was medium, buildable, and the dustiness in the texture made it very easy to blend and diffuse the powder across cheekbones for an even glow. The formula wore between seven and a seven and a half hours on me.

Gold Addict
Makeup Revolution Gold Addict Strobe Highlighter ($6.00 for 0.26 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark gold with warm, yellow undertones and a metallic sheen. This shade did not seem as shimmery initially, but the more I blended and buffed the powder onto my skin, the more metallic and glowing the finish looked. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was builable to opaque coverage with two to three layers. The powder felt a little looser and dustier in the pan, but it blended out nicely and sat well on the skin. It wore for just over seven hours on me before fading noticeably.

Moon Glow Lights looks really nice and both of the have such a nice texture for drugstore brand.
I agree! I love the finish on Moon Glow.
There’s a budget highlighter for everyone! Ulta must do a thriving business in drugstore highlighters. Highlighters seem to be a good place to save $…not to mention CP has some of the best of all.
There are a ton of budget-friendly highlighters this year!
These look really good, especially at their price point! But for now, I am sat down for this month playing with my ABH x Nicole Guerriero palette. I’ve already used Kitty Kat, of course!
How are you liking your palette, Nancy?
I think I’m going to like it, Christine. I’ve only had a chance to use 2 of the shades so far: Kitty Kat (wonderful!) and Daydream (glittery…but pretty?) Dying to use them as eyeshadow, too, like you did!
I LOVE gold addict! Omg! So pretty!
Great pick! 🙂
I like Moon Glow Lights.
I do actually think I have enough highlighters to last for the rest of my life, but they are so pretty, aren’t they 🙂
Yay!
Super for the price.
Well-said!
