The Baked Blusher formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” and have a “natural soft effect” with a “hint of shimmer.” It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque coverage (when built up) that had a lightly dusty texture that kicked up some excess in the pan but did not appear dry or chalky applied to the skin. The shimmer diffuses to a beautiful, glowy finish that didn’t emphasize pores or my skin’s natural texture–just a smooth, luminous sheen. It started to fade after six and a half hours of wear. I really wish these were either more pigmented or the brand more accurately described them, as they have all been sheer to medium in coverage.

Probably too sparkly for me. I know you said it doesn’t emphasize pores but on me it probably would. Darn mooncraters…
Aww, bummer!
I love how this blush looks on you xo
Thank you!
Kind of shimmery but the color is pretty! It seems that brands are afraid to call their blushes anything less than “highly pigmented” for fear they won’t sell. I think semi-opaque blushes that are buildable are the most versatile and easiest to use
I totally agree — I wish they would reconsider!
That might be a little too much for me right now.
Gotcha!
This one is definitely a “should I or shouldn’t I?” category! I LOVE how it looks on you, and that its dupe is MAC Plum Foolery. What I wonder is; since you’ve previously stated that you don’t test cheek products over foundation, would this work for me over a BB/ CC cream or foundation? Because I truly love this shade a lot!
Thank you, Nancy! 🙂
Yes, I think it would work just fine over foundation! In general, I find if it goes on well over bare skin, it just goes on better over a base, lol! If it’s a more matte shade or thin texture, the exception would be still-wet foundation (you’ll want to wait for it to dry down or lightly powder first).
Thank you for the feedback, Christine! Then this is a big “yes” for me, because my foundation is always good and dry by the time I get around to doing my cheeks.
They’re pretty blushes but I personally don’t feel the quality is any different from their gorgeous blush palettes which have more shades and are only $10 at Ulta. Their baked highlighters are gorgeous, though, especially Golden Lights which feels so high end and probably one of my best golden highlighters(Peach Lights is also pretty and I wish Pink Lights was US). MUR is the best thing to come to Ulta
I don’t know if that’s good or bad news, lol! I am not super, super impressed by the baked ones 🙁
Dang I picked this up today at Ulta. If I had read this review first I wouldn’t have brought it. Looks pretty on me so far. I put on top of the blush I was wearing Becca’s Wild Honey blush. The price was right ,we’ll see if it’s a keeper.
I think it would be pretty over another blush!
