Makeup Geek Rekindle Highlighter Review, Photos, Swatches
Rekindle
Makeup Geek Rekindle Highlighter ($20.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a light-medium, rosy copper with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It looked pinker in the pan, and then it looked lighter on than in the pan, so it was rather different applied than merely viewed in the compact! The finish had a very strong sheen to it, but it was smooth and did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture. On my skin tone, I saw a touch of color, but it worked mostly as a highlighter.
According to Makeup Geek, the formula is supposed to be “super-smooth” and “incredibly pigmented.” The highlighter had great color payoff with a soft, smooth, slightly dense texture that wasn’t too soft or too firm to the touch. It didn’t kick up an excess product in the pan, but it wasn’t difficult to blend; in fact, it easily diffused and spread across the skin. I noticed a bit of fading after eight hours of wear.

Formula Overview
$20.00/0.25 oz. - $80.00 Per Ounce
According to Makeup Geek, the formula is supposed to be “super-smooth” and “incredibly pigmented.” The majority of the range is beautifully done with smooth, slightly denser textures that are blendable and easy to work with. They have good pigmentation, though some shades are more buildable than "incredibly pigmented." Most shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

Sounds like a little color chameleon 🙂
It is!
It’s pretty, but I’m set with EL Modern Mercury
Great dupe 🙂
Rekindle is such a pretty one! What a sheen it has, too! Luckily, I already have Estee Edit Gleam, which I’ve used as my highlight 2 days in a row.
Phew! 😀
Ooooo!!!! This made my heart jump!! I’m still holding out for the review of the Yellow-gold Highlight from Makeup geek, but this is beautiful!!
I love that it adds a touch of colour on your cheeks, it looks like it would be a beautiful glowy hint of blush on me!!
It’s a lovely one! 🙂
I was most curious about this colour of the all the ones you reviewed so far! I love this shade even on a light-medium skintone. I think I would be interested in wearing this mostly as a blush colour!
Glad you are liking this one, Stephanie!
How beautiful! It reminds me of LORAC’s current LE highlighter in Spotlight!
Nice!
I love how these look … but all the ones I like contain carmine, which is a deal-breaker for me. 🙁
Oh no 🙁
I think this is a lovely color — coppery without being too orange (although it would probably look more orange on me than it does on you).
I totally agree, Fran! 😀
This blush/highlighter looks much lighter on you than in the pan. The pan shade, which is a very deep rosy colour, could be off putting, but as it applies so lightly, it looks lovely.
It is! It is lighter and brighter.
Love this, it reminds me of Modern Mercury but lighter.
Definitely in the same vein!
Probably be a blush on me!
Most likely!
