Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "highly pigmented color" but no stickiness with a "water-infused formula" that has "high-shine refractive oils" and "instantly locks in hydration." It's a pigmented gloss with more of a creamy, somewhat milky consistency that resulted in a formula that was very prone to settling into lip lines and having a few air bubbles in it.
They actually had the audacity to call it "weightless" in feel, but the consistency was thicker, though not tacky, and creamy enough that it was very obvious that it was on the lips. The darker shades were prone to feathering on me, which is really not something I experience often.
Most shades had semi-opaque pigmentation or better with a few being sheerer overall. The colors applied without streaking, but most settled into my lip lines from the get-go, couldn't be smoothed out, and the settling worsened over time. They started off very high-shine but that shine tamped down with an hour--quite fast for an actual lipgloss. I've had lipsticks retain their glossiness for longer!
Over time, it ended up feeling thinner, drier, and less emollient and didn't seem to impart actual hydration over time. I felt a subtle tingle in the first five to ten minutes but it was by no means an intense lip plumper in feel or look (the illusion of plumper lips seemed to come from the shiness, at least initially). They were shorter-wearing, about two to three hours depending on the shade. There seemed to be a subtle, almost fruity scent but it was hard to detect for me.

I guess this range of lip products shows that no matter what the brand or how good their other products are, you need to seek out a review before you purchase. It’s just a shame that these haven’t lived up to any of their promises, even though the shade colours are popular ones.
On top of the subpar wear-time, according to Morgan Turner, these separate and give you “butthole lips” if you attempt to apply a truly opaque coating of these. And, nope, I sure don’t feel like rocking butthole lips!
Nice colours, shame about the performance 🙁
