Makeup by Mario Bronzy Glam Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
Bronzy Glam
Makeup by Mario Bronzy Glam Glam Eyeshadow Quad ($25.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a new, limited edition warm-toned neutral color story that included three shimmery eyeshadows paired with one matte eyeshadow.
The shimmers were pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing, while the matte was more reactive to natural oils on the skin, which resulted in color that wasn’t as even in application nor as blendable–but with a second layer, I was able to diffuse and soften pretty readily.

Bronzy Glam #1
Bronzy Glam #1 is a light-medium, golden peach with very strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had a soft, smooth, and lightly creamy texture that was dense but not overly thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan.
It had opaque pigmentation that adhered evenly to bare skin and lasted nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have "high-impact shine" that can be used "dry or wet to achieve a light wash or full-coverage color." If you're someone who wants really intense pigmentation with a dry brush, not all shades will be capable of that, though several in the formula were very pigmented both dry as well as wet.
The consistency was almost spongy, a bit emollient but did not seem overly prone to compacting in the pan, which can be an issue with more emollient formulas. It was denser but thin and wasn't stiff to work with. The eyeshadows applied evenly to bare skin, blended out well in most instances, and went on very easily--they were easier to apply than I think the feel of them would have indicated.
The slip in the formula gave them a smoother, more "melted" look when applied to my skin, so they had shine but did not emphasize my skin texture. They wore between eight and nine hours on me before fading/creasing faintly.

Bronzy Glam #2
Bronzy Glam #2 is a deeper, olive-toned gold with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The eyeshadow had rich color payoff paired with a creamy, moderately dense consistency that felt like it had more slip to it than other shimmers that the brand has released in the past.
I didn’t have any issues picking up product with a dry brush but had a touch of fallout if I wasn’t careful. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Bronzy Glam #4
Bronzy Glam #4 is a medium, reddish-brown with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It seemed more reactive to any natural oils on my skin, which resulted in slight unevenness and darkening. It had more semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation, and when I built up with the second layer, that covered the imperfections of that initial layer. If you use a drier eyeshadow primer/base, it shouldn’t be an issue. It lasted nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have "medium buildable and blendable coverage"with a "featherlight creamy feel." The formula is marked by a translucency to them that was, in fact, more medium to semi-opaque and buildable in coverage. They were soft, smooth, and velvety with glide but little powderiness, and they seemed to "melt" a bit when applied to bare skin.
I'd argue that they were a little more pigmented in one layer than true medium, but in practice, it seemed slightly more true-to-medium in coverage as the shades diffused evenly and spread to more medium coverage (even when initially seemingly semi-opaque). They lasted between seven and eight hours on me before fading visibly.

Well alrighty then, I’m digging the khaki leaning bronze vibe I’m getting from this little power-packed quad!
It makes for a richly gorgeous eye look.
It is a very holiday-esque look, IMO!
I am totally in love with this quad – particularly the first three shades. Overall I think the colour story is cohesive and wish the fourth shade was better quality.
I think your eye looks is just perfect Christine.
Thank you so much, Genevieve!
Genevieve’s response is exactly what I was going to say (yet again). The 4th shade is warmer than I like, though it doesn’t look super-warm so might be wearable for me. And the fact that I have several dupes for each of the other shades (we won’t talk about how many I have for that beautiful bronzey shade) doesn’t mean that I won’t get this. I shouldn’t – I so don’t need it but the price is pretty good and it looks very wearable and lovely.
