Make Up For Ever 207 Candy Pink Artist Plexi-Gloss ($19.00 for 0.23 fl. oz.) is a brightened, medium fuchsia pink with cool, blue undertones and a cream finish. The consistency was light-medium and tacky. It went on somewhat evenly with semi-opaque coverage. It was neither drying nor hydrating, but it wore well for five hours on me. Bite Beauty Eleven (Watercolor) (LE) is similar. Urban Decay Scandal (P, $22.00) is slightly darker, more opaque. Estee Lauder Rosy Future (LE, $26.00) is similar. Revlon HD Tourmaline (510) (P, $8.99) is lighter, brighter. NYX Sugar Cookie (P, $5.00) is similar. NARS Priscilla (P, $26.00) is darker. MAC Style Packed (LE, $15.00) is lighter. MAC Silly (LE, $15.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Make Up For Ever 500 Lilac Artist Plexi-Gloss ($19.00 for 0.23 fl. oz.) is a brightened, medium pink-purple with a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation, which made it one of the more pigmented glosses I tried from the range, but it does have some issues with application. The color looks slightly uneven, and there is some settling into lip lines. The gloss lasted for the five hours as marketed, which was good. It wasn’t drying, but it wasn’t moisturizing either. Urban Decay Bittersweet (P, $22.00) is darker. NYX Berry Strudel (P, $6.00) is cooler-toned, darker. MAC Narcissus (LE, $20.00) is pinker. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

Make Up For Ever 501 Purple Artist Plexi-Gloss ($19.00 for 0.23 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark purple with warm, pink tones and a cream finish. It had decent color payoff, though it isn’t the “vivid color” promised. It goes on unevenly, unfortunately, which gives it a sort of splotchy look on the lips. On me, the gloss wore well for five hours, and it was lightly hydrating.
Urban Decay Bittersweet (P, $22.00) is slightly darker. MAC Narcissus (LE, $20.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

I’ve been on a purple lipstick kick, was eyeing Purple Artist, but it looks really uneven, like the color separated and the darker purple settled into the lip line. I already have UD Bittersweet, so I’m covered. I love the Bittersweet, you have to apply 2-3 coats to get opaque coverage, but it’s translucency makes it wearable daytime. And OMG, NXY Berry Strudel is awesome –it’s a bold purple purple, really makes my brown eyes pop! I would never have tried it without your review.

I really love all these colors and must say that I am somewhat disappointed in these. I got a 100 point perk sample size of 202 from Sephora yesterday. I put it on right away. I loved the initial look. Literally like glass over you lips. But within an hour, their is too much settling. I am going to try a lip primer and see if helps that issue. But, I don’t wan to have to use a colored liner with a gloss every time. I want to be able to throw it on and go. Otherwise, I will stick with Urban Decay. I have also been wanting to try the new Sephora brand gloss. I have noticed you have been wearing that in some photos Christine. So, maybe we will get a review or two? 🙂

Me too! I can see where the gloss is settled a bit in your lips and your lips a are much younger and fuller than mine. So, I don’t think these will work to well for me. I tried the primer under the sample I have. It didn’t make a difference. I may try some on it store(when they get them in). It’s such a shame because the colors are great! I don’t see why MUFE couldn’t get it right if UD did. 🙂

Even though it’s splotchy, I may have to get the Purple one to use over my Maybelline Lavender Voltage, a DEAD-ON MAC Heroine dupe, but having the same issues as it fades, to kept it from slowly fading to a more fuschia tone, and to give it greater longevity on the lips. But I wouldn’t wear this gloss on its own, no way, no how#

I have the purple one. Just got it, so have only worn it the once. It was a little patchy, but the patchiness was even on me. Like, it was specifically around the centre of my lips, so it ended up looking kind of like an on-purpose ombre effect rather than bad. I like it, in any case – it hits the range of tacky enough to not be drying but slippy enough to not be irritating in the wind.

I was debating between the MUFE, Urban Decay and Anastasia Beverly Hills new glosses. I was trying to wait to see if you would review that ABH glosses but after looking up swatches, I went ahead and ordered them. I’m so glad I did because they are awesome! Will you be reviewing them? I would love to know your opinion.
