Make Up For Ever 2 Pink Beige Star Lit Liquid Review, Photos, Swatches
2 Pink Beige
Make Up For Ever 2 Pink Beige Star Lit Liquid ($24.00 for 0.15 fl. oz.) is a very light pink with warmer undertones and multi-colored glitter. It doesn’t add real color on my skin tone, and instead, it’s more like a wash of multi-colored sparkle and glitter on the cheeks (or eyes).
The Star Lit Liquid formula is described as a “lightweight, multi-use, pearlescent formula” that is a “sheer, water-based formula” that is buildable and won’t feel sticky on the skin. If you like a subtle highlighter, this formula is not for you. And if you don’t like glitter, this formula is definitely not for you! If you like glittery highlighters, I think this might be up your alley. The consistency was thin, water-like, and felt cool going on. The applicator is a lot like a nail polish brush, and it’s okay for getting initial color onto an area, but it is not practical to use it as a blending tool or anything like that. I had the best luck using my fingertip to pat and spread the glitter on the skin (cheeks or eyes) as a sheer wash.
The consistency is watery but dries down quickly to a non-sticky finish. I felt like I had just enough time to spread it out before it dried down completely, but I recommend working one area at a time. It looked subtle at a glance and in photos, because it had a sheerer coverage level (sheer to medium, at most) and doesn’t have a the fully reflective finish as a traditional powder highlighter, but in person, the glitter catches light and moves more. I could see this working well lightly patted over a blush or another highlighter for an extra kick, which I think helps this product look more cohesive on the skin (as well as on the eyes).
As a cheek highlighter, it lasted for eight hours with some of the glitter had traveled noticeably from where I had initially applied it. As an eye product, it held up fairly well and didn’t start to crease until after seven hours of wear, but there was a bit of fallout–not bad but definitely a bit.

I do like this color, still not sure about the glitteriness.
I hear ya! These are full on glitter!
Too glittery for me, but love your eye look!!
Thanks, Katherine!
Love the intensity of this highlighter when swatched. It doesn’t seem too obvious when applied on the cheeks! I was terrified of the glitter being a little too much!
It’s definitely noticeable, but the sheen isn’t as high as a typical highlighter!
Oooh, I love the iciness of this particular shade! But could only ever use it lightly on the cheeks, as my eyes are far too sensitive to wear the larger glitter contained in these on my lids, I suspect. About the closest thing to glitter I am able to bear on my lids at all are the UD Moondust shadows and the Colourpop eyeshadows that are glittery. Even then, gotta be careful while removing at bedtime to get it all off or risk irritation in my eyes.
I feel like if you can take Moondust, these would be okay – they seem the same in terms of size/type, but I think there is probably more of it in these.
I like them, this color is really nice but it just seems like so much work to finesse and so much work to remove!
They really scream “special occasion” to me – fun but might be a little more work overall!
I am a sucker for this colour of highlighter but i am SOLD on that (Bite) lip colour. Gorgeous on you, Christine.
I look forward to your review on it (as well as the other new Bite colours you might have picked up).
Honeycomb is old – I reviewed it when it first came out 🙂
It’s a nice proice point for the amount of product but the nail polish bottle makes me laugh.
I thought they seemed so plain/unbranded initially, though there is a subtle logo on the cap somewhere.
A finicky product, but the look you created is lovely!
Thank you!
I’m so glad I saw your swatches of these before I just ordered them all!I was hoping for something similar too the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops or the indie brand I use @loveluxebeauty has Dramatizer Drops in around 6 different colors and 2 have glitter in them but are wearable as a highlight and don’t show up as sheer with a random smattering of glitter like these.I think there is just a combination of too much sheerness and glitter for me to use these.
Phew! These are definitely a lot more glitter/less shimmer compared to the CoverFX ones!
I would use some of these as eye shadows!
Awesome!
