Make Up For Ever ME512 Golden Beige Artist Shadow
Make Up For Ever ME512 Golden Beige Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a muted, golden beige with warm undertones and a frosted finish. It had fairly good color payoff, and it had a creamy, buttery texture that was easy to work with on the skin. The color lasted well for eight and a half hours before creasing slightly. Charlotte Tilbury The Rebel #1 (P) is lighter. Ardency Inn Sunday (P, $21.00) is darker. Tarte Golden Locket (LE) is darker. Divergent Golden Honesty (LE) is warmer. theBalm #41 (P, $6.50) is more beige. MAC In the Meadow #2 (LE, $21.00) is lighter. MAC Lily White (2014) (LE, $21.00) is brighter. Tarina Tarantino Taurella (LE) is more beige. Disney by Sephora Sand in the Glass (LE) is less shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Make Up For Ever M548 Pink Gray Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a medium-dark, warm taupe brown with a matte finish. It had good pigmentation, and while the texture was soft, silky, and blendable, it was on the powdery side. It applied decently over bare skin, but it’s the type of matte finish that would be best over a primer (or if you have oilier lids, it should be okay). On me, it lasted for eight hours before fading. Makeup Geek Barcelona Beach (P, $5.99) is more shimmery. Tom Ford Beauty Unabashed Eyeshadow #2 (LE) is darker, cooler-toned. Givenchy Taupe Velours (5) (P, $23.00) is darker, cream. Tarte View from the Taupe (LE) is lighter. Laura Mercier Café au Lait (P, $23.00) is warmer. Kat Von D Renholder (P) is a touch lighter.See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Make Up For Ever I550 Olive Gray Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a medium-dark, warm brown with just a smidgen of gray and a pearly sheen. It seems to be more of a brown than taupe. It had fantastic pigmentation that went on so smoothly! The texture was equally lovely: buttery, smooth, and blendable. On the lid, the color stayed didn’t show signs of fading for eight and a half hours. This shade is part of the Artist Palette. Tom Ford Beauty Nude Dip #3 (LE) is warmer. LORAC Chrome (P) is darker. Maybelline Sleek & Spice (95) (LE, $6.99) is warmer, cream. Urban Decay Mugshot (P, $18.00) is darker, warmer. LORAC Pewter (P) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Make Up For Ever M636 Cappuccino Artist Shadow ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a medium-dark, warm-toned brown with a matte finish. It had good color payoff with a soft, velvety texture that was just a smidgen powdery. It was very blendable and lasted for eight hours. LORAC Unspoken (P) is a little lighter. Makeup Geek Mocha (P, $5.99) is darker. Laura Mercier Truffle (P, $23.00) is darker. Wet ‘n’ Wild To Muse and Carouse #2 (LE, $2.29) is similar. Urban Decay Beware (LE, $18.00) is similar. Inglot #357 (P, $6.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

I like pink gray and olive gray! The eye look you did at the end of the post also reminds me how much I want a liner like Mushroom… 😀
Mushroom is such a great eyeliner!
I have a few neutrals from MUFE from earlier which are very similar to a few of these. I love the fact that MUFE has been consistent with the quality!
LOL! It is always painful when you’ve collected product from a brand’s formula, and then they replace it!
The colors in itself are rather boring (not that that’s necessarily a bad thing) but quality wise they definitely sound good.
I totally get what you mean!
I really like Pink Gray and Olive Gray. I just received MUG Barcelona Beach yesterday..yay..which was out of stock for ages and it’s similar enough. Olive Gray will have to go on wishlist for sure.
So glad you got Barcelona Beach! I relaly like that shade.
I could use all of these in my stash except the gold one. I have more than enough golds. The rest of them gorgeous though! So glad they’re great quality too
I’ve been using ME513 Golden Beige a lot as a highlighter – super pretty!
Beautiful!!! You make me want this….
They’re a lot of pretty shades!
I really like the first one. I just wish it was a bit more pigmented; looks a little sheer.
I wouldn’t really call it sheer – 90% opaque! 🙂
I wish it was 100%, haha. I guess it probably seems very opaque in person though. I like the colours in this group but building one’s own palettes is so expensive, I wish there was an affordable neutrals palette like this. Looking forward to Balmsai’s review.
Pink Gray and Olive Gray are my favorite of this bunch!
Nice picks!
They are all very pretty neutrals, especially Olive Gray!
It’s an interesting shade!
I’m really into pink grey! I really love blending crease shades and pink grey looks a little unique which I appreciate.
It would fabulously for a blending/crease shade!
I am such a sucker for shine. I LOVE that golden beige and would love the pink gray if only it was shiny like the beige is!
Haha! I’ve been using Golden Beige a lot for highlighting the brow bone as I work through the 30th anniversary palette.
I really want Pink Gray and cappuccino.
Pink Gray is an interesting hue!
Christine, I am supposed to be on a no-buy, but I am checking out my Sephora cart with 3/4 of the colours you featured here – there goes my wallet! Thanks a lot [/end sarcasm] 😀
LOL! Sorrrrry!
I like the Olive Gray and Golden Beige. Cappucino is nice. I’m not digging the pink gray.
I’m digging Golden Beige for a highlight!
I thnk I have dupes, or at least close enough for these four. They are really good everyday colours. So far the MUFE eyeshadows seem to be very good. Will be interesting to see more reviews.
Agreed – these are very easy, everyday kind of colors!
I like Golden Beige and Cappuccino!
Woohoo!
