Make Up For Ever I746 Watermelon Artist Shadow (Blush) Review, Photos, Swatches
Make Up For Ever I746 Watermelon Artist Shadow (Blush)
Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow (Blush) ($21.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a brightened, coral-orange with warm undertones and a soft, golden shimmer-sheen finish. Surratt Beauty Ponceau (P, $32.00) is brighter, pinker. Guerlain Coral Blush (LE) is pinker. Divergent Obscure Coral (LE) is lighter. Make Up For Ever #410 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is a cream product, less shimmery. Clinique Ginger Pop (01) (P, $21.00) is very similar. Illamasqua Sleek (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, more muted. MAC Passion for Colour (LE, $20.00) is lighter, less shimmery. Edward Bess Secret Affair (P, $43.00) is lighter. MAC Fleet Fast (LE, $21.00) is more muted, pinker. Dior Coral Glow Blush (LE) is less shimmery. Burberry Blossom (P, $42.00) is cooler-toned. Bobbi Brown Coral (P, $25.00) is a little lighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
It’s a very intensely pigmented blush with a soft, creamy, buttery texture that goes on on smoothly and evenly. The finish has a luminous sheen–not shimmery or frosty–so it looks glowing on the skin. The creamier texture makes it really easy to blend on the skin so it doesn’t look splotchy, and it is forgiving, despite the rich color payoff. You can blend it out for sheerer color without a lot of work, though you’ll certainly want to start with a light to moderate hand. On me, the color lasted for eight and a half hours before fading.

This is such a pretty color!! Love corals! It reminds me bit of NARS Torrid but this is pinker.
Always room for more coral blush!
I love this color! I have never tried this brand but I may have to pick this up!!
Wow! Hopefully you can check out Make Up For Ever sometime! They have some nice products 🙂 Not all are winners but many are!
I broke down and bought it today!! I LOVE coral blush so I will add this to my collection!
Enjoy 😀
It is like a more wearable version of their Tomato blush!
Good point!
The color on you is gorgeous! Looks a lot like Chanel’s Presage to me 🙂
Definitely some similarities! The redder and more shimmery finish of this one makes it look a bit different on me.
This is beautiful!
The finish is awesome!
This is gorgeous on you! I’m so loving this color
Thank you, Fancie!
Ooooh this one’s loooovely!
I just got Electric Purple. Wearing it today and I feel SO brave for doing so, LOL 🙂 It’s very unlike me to step out of my (coral) comfort zone like this.
NICE! Now, did you wear it on your eyes or your cheeks? 😉
loving these MUFE blush/shadows!! I will be adding these to my bevy of blushes.
It looks beautiful on you!
Which has been your favorite so far?
I love electric purple and Neon Pink!
I am thinking of getting the Anniversary set. Still contemplating though, There are too many other things I want this month. My September’s big, fat glossy magazine subscriptions creates such an extensive shopping list for me every year! 🙂
How do you keep track of your shopping list with the magazines?
When I saw this under your initial swatches, I said, “I NEED that!”
Haha!
It’s a great coral blush! I think I prefer the finish on the Surratt!
I can totally see that preference – Surratt’s is a lot more matte!
This is really beautiful! I love corals.
It is a gorgeous shade!
Gorg shade! I think this will be the next to join coral pink and Then Salmon too for that MUFE blush trio!!
Nice! Can’t wait to see your blush trio!
Finally a shade that’s called watermelon that actually LOOKS like a watermelon! Love it. 🙂
Haha! It is always fun to see whether a brand actually makes it look like what it’s named.
absolutely enjoying all the MUFE reviews so far 🙂 this shade is exceptionally beautiful on you Christine 🙂
Thank you, Rashmi!
Ugh, this line is far too pretty and shiny. It’s forcing me to make up excuses to buy a bunch of these!
It’s tough to resist! Seriously, don’t see them in store! I walked out with 30th palette plus 33 more!
Stop it, Christine. You’re making me want them ALL.
Sorrrrry!
Oh wow, this is beautiful! I always struggle to find a blush that has a nice glowing color without shimmer. I’ll be saving this post so I can give it a try. Thank you!
No problem, Jenny!
Aww, I love corals! I may be able to convince myself that the shimmer makes this sufficiently different from NARS Exhibit A, and that I should totally get it.
Well, there are always other shades to consider! Since there are probably like 30 blushes, LOL!
Pretty! These blushes give such a nice glow when blended.
I agree! The finish really seems to work blended out.
This blush colour is perfect for transitioning into fall!! Love the coral shade!
I can never resist a coral!
Single look at the blush and i see myself screammingg.. i need it!! it is such a gorgeous coral blush!! 🙂 <3
Would be gorgeous on your skin tone!
Ooh, this is a super pretty colour, and looks lovely and natural (in a delicately peachy flushed kind of way, you get what I mean, LOL!) on you! 🙂
The finish comes off so nicely!
So nice, I love the healthy glow that it gives 🙂
I totally agree – glowing but not over the top!
I like the good grades MUFE shadows gets 🙂 I’m sure I’ll be picking some of them up later in the fall. I like how good these performs as blushes, making them quite versitale. I’d wear it as an eyeshadow mostl though, I think.
They’ve been doing quite well so far!
