Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow Pricing Now Online!

Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow
Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow

Yesterday, I tweeted Sephora to ask them when the Make Up For Ever pricing discount would be reflected online, and Make Up For Ever responded and said that they were working on it and it would be fixed. I’m happy to announce that it IS fixed and working at Sephora! 🙂 I tested it myself, and I was able to have six eyeshadows + two trios and see a -$40 discount in my basket.

The pricing discount reflects savings if you purchase more than one eyeshadow with a compact:

  • Single + Mono Compact — $22.00
  • Two Refills + Duo Compact — $34.00 (effectively $17 each)
  • Three Refills + Trio Compact — $44.00 (effectively $14.67 each)

Artist Shadow – Diamond Finish ($21.00) (New, Permanent)

Effortlessly create endless eye looks that range from beautifully natural to highly artistic with this unique eye shadow. With its breakthrough, gel-powder formula blended with ultrafine pigments, Artist Shadow leaves a smooth, even result that gives lids super-saturated, lasting color. Easily-blendable, it is an accessible shadow for the professional makeup artist and the everyday woman.

Oh I was wondering about the special pricing for pro (40%)
Thanks for clearing that up Christine! Still cheaper with the pro ($12.60 each) discount!

Oh wow even better! Thanks for being helpful! There’s a couple of places in the LA-ish area ( Nigel’s in north hollywood and Naimies in valley village) that honor MUFES pro discount. I could die happy in there.

YES! I know it has nothing to do with me repeatedly bugging Sephora customer service about the online pricing earlier this week, but I still feel vindicated. 😀

I see Urban Decay coming out with more pallets like the Electric one in the future. Those colors are so pigmented!

I see more big companies creating more bright products as all the small companies such as OCC, Sugarpill, Lime Crime and Melt grow and see more success. NYX Macaron Lippies is one example.

People are a lot more comfortable wearing outrageous color these days. Remember when you would be labelled as a freak if you wore black lipstick or had crazy colored hair?

That’s awesome that they’re doing a bulk discount! $22 per shadow is hard to justify when you buy more than 1. I wish UD would take a hint. I probably have about 8 UD palettes but I’ve only purchased 3 UD singles.

The discounting starts at 2, so if you put in two eyeshadows + duo, you’ll see a discount. If you put in three eyeshadows + trio, you’ll see a discount. If you add four eyeshadows + trio, you will not get a discount on the 4th. To maximize the discount, you have to order in sets of threes (three shades + trio). I had six eyeshadows and two trio compacts in my cart, and it reflected -$40 discount.

Just wondering if you know they’ll be bringing this to the Canadian version of the Sephora site as well – or if there’s some way you can find out! I just tried placing items in the Canadian shopping basket, and we’re still getting the following for prices:
– single + mono compact = CAD$25
– two refills + duo compact = CAD$49
– three refills + trio compact = CAD$73
(so basically no discount at all)

Hey Shayla!

I have no idea 🙁 I tweeted @makeupforeverus to ask if it will apply to the Canadian Sephora site. Will reply back if I hear back (or else you could also try asking them). For me on U.S. Sephora, it actually says -$20.00 at the bottom, so you should see something like that (if it is working).

Thanks for the quick reply, Christine! I might try calling Sephora later to see if they have any idea about this…it just seems that us Canadians always seem to get the short end of the stick when it comes to this kind of thing 🙁

Look forward to your reply (if MUFE gets back to you!)

Oh I was wondering if we were being forgotten about in Canada. I won’t order til it works (and a colour I want isn’t in stock anyways). Thanks for the update Christine, and thanks for asking the question Shayla:)

HELL YEAH!!! I was trying to talk myself in getting a trio or two but paying over $60 for a trio was making me re-think about it a lot. I see myself ordering some trios this weekend. Now if only I can narrow my decision of colors down.

Just a little FYI to those that ordered last week, you can call sephora and have the price adjusted. I did not add a palette to mine (ordered 4), really because i forgot and after speaking to 3 ppl and finally a mgr. they placed an order for the palette for $1! which is a waste to me. all so i can be refunded the $19. And to top it off i asked for the single and they ordered the trio. So much of a hassle, i had told her that there needs to be something on the website that reflects that. Instead of just launching them online when people are not aware. I see now they have finally added the “promo details” but i can imagine all the people that ordered prior to this. Now i will have to wait til my next order to get a single ha .

btw They stick “really” well in my zpalette but the pans are so large i feel like il get better use if i just take a walk to mufe and purchase the 10/17pan

anne Avatar

exactly! i was just saying that, how can you have it launched for over a week with no confirmation or fix. I will probably pick up the 18pan from mufe as when i called it was fairly priced around $14?, might as well get a few e/s there as well ha 🙂

anne Avatar

Oh wow. I didn’t realize it was out that long. that’s even worse to think all those people that ordered, why have it online then? or at least pull it until its fized. when i mentioned that she said we will fix it if they call. and when they’re not aware, you just let it be?!. instead of maybe going through orders and crediting accounts. smh.
