So excited for Taraji and WOC to have this! I hope they expand the collection since I’m guessing they didn’t have much time to create it since Empire returns in September.

I love Taraji so much and I’m so glad she’s collaborating with MAC! I’ve been a fan for years and I can’t wait! I’m going to be so broke in September cause I’m going to pick up every piece. Meanwhile, a lot of collections are launching in Europe.. Yep, I’m broke. ?

I want both of the msfs. But since I will be buying a new phone in September, idk ( but I’m thinking that I’m in need of makeup therapy)
These sound like great colors for medium to darker skintones, but might be too dark or muddy for me. Will need to see swatches first.
I am so glad for this collection, as I believe all 3 would work on my NC37-40 skintone as well as most darker mediums up into medium brown/dark tones! Although, I do wish there were more pieces to this. Like a non-matte lipstick or two? Some eyeshadows, perhaps Extra Dimension? But still happy to see WOC friendly shades repped here!
I agree with everything you’ve said here!!! Especially about the Extra Dimension eyeshadows. I am an NC45 and cannot wait to try everything!

Ugh, I just swore to myself today that I was going on a no buy! Whatever, that lipstick will be mine.
I doubt any of them will work for me but I always love seeing women of color in a collaboration. I wish they would have put out more than 3 products.

I Do not Know WHO she is but I think the Lipstick will be very popular like velvet Teddy.
She is an actress, probably best known for her current role on a US tv show, Empire, as Cookie Lyons. She got a golden globe for that. I think she deserves the Nobel prize in foot torture for keeping upright in those shoes. She has movie roles as well. I was devastated when she left one of my crime series, but Cookie is a powerhouse role and she is one phenomenal actress. Not to mention that she gets good press for being easy to work with. I met one of her coworkers from the crime show, whose real home is outside Boston. He had great things to say about her, as a person, and as an actor. And she’s beautiful, in a non-hollywoody way. Your English is good enough to watch her via YouTube. She is just marvelous. Shocking, fierce, what a character Cookie is. An I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar embodiment. Suspect I’ll at least swatch these. Being an old white broad, I’d better bring a fan brush. Taraji rules!

She is also Oscar nominated. Best supporting actress for her role in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She is a triple threat as well. Educated and talented.
