I already have Powersurge eye kohl (I’ve owned it for quite some time and like it a lot) but there’s nothing else here that interests me in the least. I have to say, I always feel a bit of a relief when I don’t flip and want a whole bunch of stuff! I’m fighting the urge now not to get backups of UD F-bomb and a few other of their Vice lipsticks which are now all being discounted (and, I presume, discontinued) at Sephora.
What?! They’re full price at Sephora USA (and Ulta). However, the eyeshadows are all 50% off at Sephora and Ulta 🤔 Neither are on clearance on UD’s own [American] site…
I just checked Sephora now and they’re no longer showing as being on sale. I don’t know if I hallucinated it or maybe Sephora made an error that they quickly corrected, but they’re no longer showing as on sale. I guess the silver lining is they’re not being discontinued so I don’t need to panic.
Maybe it was part of their presidents’ day sale?
I’m in Canada, so no President’s Day sale here – I checked when Christine listed the Sephora items that were in the sale.
UD F-bomb is one of my most loved lipsticks. I must check if they are on sale here. I hope they’ll not discontinue it and if they are I must have a backup.
I sometime think we are lipstick sisters 🙂
Helene, they’re NOT on sale. I checked the next day and they weren’t marked down at all. I think it must have been an error on Sephora’s part when they were putting other things on sale. I sort of wish I’d ordered it then – I would imagine they would have honoured the price/their error. Ah – c’est la vie! I didn’t really “need” another one but might have in 10 years (when I’ll be closer to 80 than to 70 and still wearing rich red lipstick!)
The F-bomb I have in my collection is getting on in years, it’s in the old revolution formula. I keep using all makeup until it turns in either colour, scent or feel, This one is still in excellent shape, but I can see the need to replace it in some years.
I too will wear red lipsticks in my 80s or 90s if I make it that far. I’ve had red as my favourite lipstick colour all my life, why change now 🙂
I dig it, maybe more for the packaging than the actual products!
It’s not looking like MAC, so that is refreshing. I find the theme more Rider Waite..
OMBFG. I saw tarot cards, too. Did not until now, know who Rider Waite was. Nothing like this whatsoever in my Italian Ren art history class.
Aha! That’s what it made me think of at first. Thank you for sharing the name!
This actually looks really nice! I’m surprised, given Mac’s often “boring” releases. Hopefully, the quality is good!
Very pretty! I wouldn’t know what to do with the emollient duality palette, but it does seem very Renaissance – some rouging and some gilding.
Love that packaging, but other than that, nothing here is knocking my socks off. The cheek duo may be the one thing that I would want to maybe get.
The packaging is very pretty but I’m way past buying something for the eye candy. The Powersurge eye kohl does interest me though.
I actually bought the lip trio palette and the eye kohl as soon as they dropped this morning! The cheek duo wasn’t as exciting for me since I already have a lot of cream rose blushes and gold highlighters and the eyeshadow palette didn’t look very appealing for me personally (since I already have tons of eyeshadow) so that’s why I didn’t get them but I still love that MAC tried something new overall here!
The packaging is phenomenal looking overall and I do feel like this collection is a breath of fresh air compared to other recent releases from MAC so I have actually been excited for this collection since I saw it on Trendmood!
LOVE that packaging! Yes, I got the Rider-Waite vibe too (thanks to Wednesday for mentioning it, since I was not sure what was jogging my memory). I actually like the eyeshadow palette enough to try to order it, and I might pick up an eyeliner or two while I’m at it. I wish I liked the lipstick palette better, but I think I need to see independent trial pics of it because I can’t really figure out if any of the shades would work on me. But OMG, that packaging! It hearkens back to some of the better MAC specials.
Well this is all gorgeous. Not sure I’ll end up purchasing anything, but after answering one of the daily questions about disappointing brands and part of my answer was that I wanted to see exciting releases, here we go. This is what I want. Something beautiful to look at. Maybe more brands could take notice and work with more *artists* for collabs and less with “influencers.”
