ohhh how cool
I especially like the cool palette, might check it out (if it’s available) when I next fly (probably in July or August).
Wow snap! I’m flying today, I hope they have it in Heathrow.
Although I prefer the ones last year. These colour combinations are a bit meh
i want the second palette with the purple and the green but i’m nowhere near the dutyfree shops…3 hours away to be exact T__T
What do you mean by DFS and travel retail locations? I’m not totally hip with all the lingo…
Duty Free Stores/Shops – it’s basically a travel exclusive, so it’ll show up in certain airports with duty free stores.
Yay…my mom is flying from America to visit me here in the Uk next month…so I know what to ask my mommy to buy me at the airport!!
The palettes and brush sets are actually available on the MAC website. 🙂 But the look boxes don’t seem to be up.
Oops, I may be wrong. It seems like the Trip collection on the website has completely different palettes. Now I’m confused. 🙁
Yep, this is new 🙂
The palettes available on the website are from last year’s Trip Collection (2009) – different ones than these 🙂
Yeah! 🙂
Wow, Expensive Pink looks nothing like that image. 🙂 Actually I own almost all of the colours of the Warm Palette, and they are really nice ones (I don’t own Embark but heard it’s kind of chalky)- I’d suggest getting it, if someone doesn’t already own them and is going to have the opportunity.
Oh, mac! I think I need to grab that warm palette if I can even though I already have 5/6 of them. I like my Trip palette from 2009, it’s so compact for travel.
These aren’t avail online are they? 🙁
Nope, sorry!
I travelled quite a bit last year and never actually saw the ones from last year anywhere!
I want the cool eye palette, mostly because of the pink mink. I love it for my crease when I do an every day i’m-wearing-makeup-but-you-can’t-really-see-it-kind of look… and it’s discontinued so I grab it whenever I can find it.
I really like the warm eye kit, but I live nowhere near the airport….
not all that special really, maybe the cool palette but meh either way.
i’m so lemming for the Warm Palette! i was lucky enough to get last year’s trip palette w/ the purple colors @ a CCO and i didn’t even know what it was at the time but i love it!! i’ve been waiting to collect those colors (from Warm Palette) and now i see it’s all in one! can u tell i’m excited? now i gotta figure out how to get it since i don’t really want to make a trip to LAX. imagine asking my hubby: “Can we go to the airport so i can buy me a MAC palette?” uh uh. 🙁
I think you need an international ticket, too 🙁
you have to buy an international ticket to get these compacts?
In order to shop at Duty Free Shops, you typically need to show them your plane ticket, and it has to be going outside the country.
That really pisses me off, that its Duty Free shops only. Going from the US to another country so you can get access to Duty Free is a pain…Going between coasts should count :). West Coast to East Coast = East Coast to London practically.
I wish Duty Free’s only checked your ticket upon purchase, when I’m stuck in the airport for hours, they have the best stuff to browse.
This year’s trip palettes are a lot better than last year in my opinion, I’m definitely gonna pick up some when I’m get the airport!!
Wow, that Humid looks NOTHING like the one I own… Expensive Pink looks very different too!
Christine, are you sure those are the right descriptions, or photos? The cool palette and face palettes don’t seem to match (although, admittedly, pictures can be deceptive). The cool palette especially seems to have extra blue shades, and no plummy ones. It might just be the lighting for the face palette though; I’m squinting and trying to see CCBs, but they all look so powdery! I’m feeling kind of dumb…
Yep, those are the right names/palettes – the names may not be in the order they are in the palette as they are listed in the description – but the info came straight from MAC Travel!
I’m surprised at how many permanent items that are in these palettes. However the packaging is pretty cute and compact. 🙂
omg! Those are so cute, I hope when i fly this weekend I can find them (and have money left from my vacation to buy them ;)) does anyone know what the prices might be?
Typically, eyeshadow palettes are around $38 in the U.S. normally, so somewhere around there I’d imagine!
