This is certainly not helping with a standard New Years resolution of mine: sticking to the shopping budget better. Oh but hey, it’s launched before New Year’s so I can shop and still stick to the NY resolution. Dang, MAC is sneaky 😛

Follow Your Fancy pigment isn’t ringing any bells in my head. Was it a limited release overseas with the Euristocrats collection last year?

Does this mean that Cream Color Bases aren’t being discontinued this year? I heard that they were, and was dreading the disappearance of Pearl! I can’t wait to get my hands on Tickle Me Pink, Movie Star, and Virgin Isle! <3

As I started reading it, I was like “boring.. boring.. boring..” Then, I hit the pigment section and beyond! Oh man, I will be so broke! Madly Personal and New Fixation sound very interesting to me. I’ve been on a pink kick lately. I wonder how they’ll compare to the permanents: fuchsia, bright fuchsia, and LE, Brash and Bold.. Can’t wait to see pics!

Christine, for the holiday collections, how’s the quality of the face kits with the 3 powders in it?is it actually comparable to the original sized powders? From last years experience some are hit and misses. Pigments lipglass minis were great, but eyeshadow kits and the brushes were not so great.

I think I remember them being about the same. I don’t remember what the weight was, and I’m not sure if these are the same either.

just bought cockney in nm mac store on vacation and now see on mac’s site its under the going going gone column probably because of this re promote. it is a lovely red. being older, it is a red that tends to accent lines around mouth on my skin though. so that is not too cool on me.

hmmm it’s nice to hear about these new collections, but i find i get A LOT more interested in/excited about collections once we start seeing campaign imagery…
that said, i’m interested in finding out more about the cream colour bases!

Wow there is nothing calling out to me other then the Beauty Powder Too Chic by description at the moment. I don’t get excited for new Fluidline shade unless there brought out a shade in the same range as Inkspill in the LiquidLast Liner. 🙂

Oh my GOD!!!! MAC you are causing me bankruptcy!!! I thought I would be finished after A Tartan Tale until the Wonder Woman collection hits, but NOOOOOO. I am loving this collection. The Style Curve lipstick is my type of lipstick. MAC I love to hate you soooooooooooo much.

How could a girl from Romania get her hands on a limited edition MAC item? I only have access to London airport duty free. Does anyone know if they bring special items there? Or should I keep drooling after them and hope they’ll be available on allcosmeticswholesale? 🙂

This collection is what I’m going to haul right along with Cham Pale and I am really excited about this because it releases on my blog’s birthday and I’m going to honor this and Cham Pale collections. As for Cockney, it’s permanent in the regular line as well as the other Euristocrat II lipsticks.

nothing i could not live with out or have something that would work to give a similar effect – i think. that said love the beauty powders and dark diversion liner( i would love this to be permenant!) as well as follow your fancy pigment

So this and the Cham-Pale collection come out at the same time, but we haven’t seen any photos of this collection. I wonder why? The only thing(s) that interest me so far are the style curve purple lipstick, the dark diversion fluid liner & Movie Star creme color base. Which I have a stupid question for you Christine. What do you do with a colored base? Is it used with eyeshadows?

Thank goodness this one leaves me cold. As I want ALL of Cham-Pale, it’s just as well. Do we know any release dates in the UK for these latest? Hopefully not too much later!!!

Ditto for the most part, these are very bold shades for a fair skin individual. The Beauty Powders (shade look more like blush) do interest me.

Of course Cham-Pale and Stylishly Yours come out Boxing Day when we are feeling a bit strapped for cash. ^_^

Yes! Finally! Pictures of this collection. I’m loving the lipsticks. I want the Style Curve lipstick, but it looks similar to Go For It. Or is it just my eyes? Can’t wait for swatches. The Something New lipstick looks amazing also.

Oh my, I am loving the cream color bases in Movie Star and Madly Magenta. And the coral pigment I must have. Sheesh, between this and the Mickey Contractor collection I may blow my MAC budget wide open for 2011.

A new fluidline? You got me with that one, it’s been forever since we had a new color there. But I’m not a day-after-Christmas shopper. Not usually….

christine i’ve been waiting so long for the pics of this collection! i’m calculating how much money i need to save! lol. you’re the best!! <3

Will this be released a few days ahead of time on MAC’s website, or on the same day as in-store releases? I don’t want to miss out because I was on a plane when it launches!

What do you think the model is wearing on her lips? I looked at a swatch of cockney lipstick but it is too sheer… Maybe she’s wearing movie star cream colour base? Can you wear those on lips?

This collection will be released on Sunday, December 26th, the day after Christmas. Do you think that it will be online on Mac’s website on Monday, December 20th?

OMG! the cream colour bases! im getting red purple and pink.. maybe even orange? and i really want that purple lipstick! i just dont know when its coming out i denmark:D

hmmm….I was real curious about style curve, I saw the swatch and it kinda looks similar to my MAC Go For It lipstick except has a lil more pink to it I think? maybe I’ll see how that looks on me but I think I’m probably going to pass on this collection and save for the Mickey Contractor collection 😀 Cham-Pale isn’t really interesting me either

Oh darn! I want Style Curve so bad, but it looks exactly like Go For It lipstick, which I love. Maybe it’s a tad different. I am considering still getting it. I will have to wait to see what Christine thinks. If she says it’s too similar to Go For It, then I won’t get it.

No, I tried on Go For It this summer and it did not look good on me. It was a darker Purple. It looks good on women who are very dark or very light but not in between like me. Style Curve does not go on very dark like Go For It and I think it will fit many shades. I bought it

I’m a big fan of beauty powders, but I don’t know if I really need either of these. I do, however, NEED Movie Star Red. That’s probably it for this collection, for me.

I think the only things I’m interested in are the coral pigment and the peach beauty powder. Most of this collection is way too bright for me. MAC should stop coming out w/ so many collections so close together. It always feels like you have to get everything you want right away or they’ll be sold out and they’re all limited edition.

Christine! I have a question for you! Last year (I don’t know when exactly) you reviewed a lipstick that was beautifully festive….kind of a ruby, burgundy, rich lipstick. It’s similar to Baby’s on Fire (MAC) but not as sheer. You even commented in your review that the lipstick seemed very festive. I’m searching for that lipstick! I’ve searched through your archives and can’t find it. By *any* chance, do you remember it? I’m sorry about the sketchy details!

Thanks! Am wondering how ‘Dark Diversion’ will vary from ‘MacroViolet’ or Bobbi Brown’s violet gel liners (violet and black mauve)… Hmmm…. Looking forward to swatches!

Oh, how I wish that Dark Diversion was a paint pot instead of a a fluidline. Such a gorgeous color.

I’m not sure if I’ll be getting anything from this collection, except maybe the beauty powders, if they’re nicely pigmented and different enough from the ones I already have.

christine do you know what mac collections will have special packaging in 2011? i know it’s kind of early to ask but i love their special packaging!

Love your site! Thank you so much for your reviews. I am a makeup artist at Sephora and an esthetician so I love reading your reviews! I bought most of this (even thought I have more hot pink lipsticks to count) and some of the champale collection today and I didn’t even think to ask if the pigment in the colour bases are safe for eye and lip? Karlasugar said no and my friends at the MAC counter didn’t say otherwise. Was wondering if you knew?

All of your products should come with safety warnings – my CCBs each had a safety sheet in them, and they said they are lip and cheek safe, just not eye safe.

will this collection be available on the maccosmetics.com website? i haven’t seen it online yet but usually the new collections arrive online a couple days earlier than the in-store launch date

Ran out to my fave MAC boutique before the snow hit and got Madly Magenta and Something New (was able to use my Back 2 Mac for it). Gorgeous colors! I’m on the list to be called when Peacocky comes out.

I’ve been checking nonstop on their website since yesterday. They haven’t put up Stylishly Yours or Cham-Pale yet. I thought it was a little odd to want to have collections out on a Sunday, especially the day after Christmas. At least if they had really planned on releasing these collections on Sunday online they should of had them available before the holiday in case people wanted to buy for family & friends. I still love MAC, but this was a really bad pr move on their part. I’m not going to keep checking. It’s unfair for them to say one thing and then not do it. I may skip these collections and just wait for a latter one.

Hey thanks christine for all the hard work you put in on this blog and for keeping us informed about the upcoming m.a.c collections 🙂 Sure enough the cham-pale collection launched on the 26 of december. I was like the first one at the m.a.c counter when the mall opened..lol I had to stock up on my feline eyeliners. I bought three…thats enough for me to last me for the year 🙂

hey, I was in my mac today (house of frasers, glasgow) and apparently this will be an online exclusive for the uk. Pretty pretty please can you put up swatches?I find it much easier to judge from your swatches than pictures of the products in their packaging whether I want something or not.
