I don’t see myself ever getting away with bright colored brows (plus I think putting pastel colors in my brunette brows would look particularly weird) but I have to admit it’s a fun idea! These shadows, though… they kind of sound like expensive ColourPop!

Sophia Ravenna Avatar

That was my first thought about the shadows, too! I’m really curious to see if they turn out to be a ColourPop clone.

Could that second photo ad BE ANY MORE photoshopped? Awful. It looks like it’s not just the quality of the products that are dropping due to over releasing of collections, now the ads too.

I would love to add some pretty pastel shadows to my collection, but we’ve seen enough pastel disasters (ie Sephora Watercolors shadow palette, LM Watercolor Mist palette, etc ) to know they are really hard to get right, so I’m hoping this new Soft Serve formula will be good. I’m not for pastel brows, but hoping the pencils can be used as eyeliner

Love the colours, though I wouldn’t do a pastel colored brow! I wonder too, like Wendy, if they would be OK to use on the eyelid instead?

Christina Avatar

They look like Chanel Illusion D’Ombres to me, albeit more colorful. I like the pastels, but they’re not colors I would reach for often, so I’d rather buy from Colourpop and save a few dollars. I have black brows, so these pencils would never work for me without a ton of work to stamp out my natural pigment. Maybe a few could be used as eyeliners, instead?

Pretty, but I’m not very hopeful, considering the nature of pastels. Wonder if the pencils could function as liners? But, we have colourpop for that! I don’t do brows, but if I had better ones and was 30+|- years younger, I’d be all over this. Ancient status has not dimmed my lust, however. Used cp violet blue from fetch, please as blush today. Not bad, done lightly. I’m starting a personal thing. Not being able to come up with a better acronym, it’s WMW. Weird Makeup Wednesday. Wed is usually my only day off, so I am going to wear mu that is outside my comfort zone, and no one will g.a.s. Now, for me, that might be pinky coral lips, which are more outside my zone than gray or blue violet blush. Maybe I’ll make it a counter cruise day, to find some real oddities. Bring out the 90s light gray lips. Maybe do petit four after all, an old blue violet lip from Anna Sui…hey, that’ll go with the cp. Raised in the fifties, so, matchy/ /matchy. Hey, I like it.

I have to admit, I think the colored brow trend is kind of fun. Not something I see myself pursuing unless I happen to color the rest of my hair, but I suppose you never know. I wonder if these pencils will actually work well-it’ll be interesting to see. I agree with Christina that the eye products look like Chanel’s Illusion D’Ombres. If they’re anything like them I know I’m going to want them all.

Primpcess Avatar

I am waaaaayyyyy too old for colored brows, maybe in my teenage years I could have rocked that. If those brow pencils can be used as eyeliners, then I may be interested.

Kimmy Avatar

Call me crazy, but I sort of want to try the colored brow pencils! Would be fun to wear to an outside concert or something. I’ll let you all know how it goes lol.
