Minerals are the foundation for all living things. The human body is made of approximately 60% water and skin is approximately 70% water. By fusing minerals and water, Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation is the synthesis of earthly essential elements in the form of a rich, luxurious solid cream compact with a liquid mineral infusion. This uniquely textured, medium buildable, foundation delivers immediate hydration while revitalizing the look of dull and dry skin. Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation features an innovative gel based system that provides extreme comfort and creaminess in application, making this formula appealing to all skins but especially normal to dry. The gel fuses the formula’s high water content (30.5%) with the polymers and coated pigments for the ultimate in silky smooth, yet long wearing (up to 8 hours), colour payoff. Because of the immediate moisturization benefits, Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation also helps to immediately reduce the appearance of pores and provides skin with a non-sticky, cooling break.

Thanks for the info Christine. I’m not a massive fan of MAC foundations for everyday use but I am very much interested in the brush. I saw a picture of it online but I cannot remember where… sorry. 🙁 The bristles look much shorter than the 187 or 188 and appear to be more densely packed so I think it will give more control over application of cream products.

Did you shoot the pic of 130 brush in Thailand? I live in Thailand, and I wonder if the brush is available now or not. I want to get one but I have to go to Bangkok ( I live in other province.)

I love the Mineralize loose powder foundation so much that I gave up my Studio Fix powder foundation for it! But this new Mineralize that’s gonna be creamy and in a compact, can someone with oily skin and some acne wear it?

I got the 130 brush today, its so cute! it’s shorter and slightly wider than the 188, and more densely packed so it’s good for foundation coverage

Here is a snippet from specktra:

Its a medium-full coverage like SFF and sculpt, so its more coverage than tech. Its a natural satin finish like sculpt, and more suited for normal to dry skin like sculpt (tho all skin types can wear it).

Sculpt is a gel-liquid hybrid, and mineralize is a gel-cream hybrid.
Its not a thick, dry cream like tech.

This is totally weightless on the skin, and it didn’t settle into lines or pores.

I didn’t realize these were cream foundations until just now! Too funny. This must be why they phased out Moistureblend (a personal favorite of mine). I’ll check these out but… Probably not get any unless they are outstanding.

I usually opt for liquid foundations, they are easy to custom-blend and you only need 8 or 9 colors to match every skintone. I LOVE cream foundations, they’re just not cost effective for me.

This will be amazing…..I’ve tried and it reminds me of a lighter form of tech…very moose like in consistancy ..better coverage then the mineral liquid

Just to clarify – I spoke with MAC yesterday and that 130 brush is going to be perminant, not LE. I wasn’t sure so I checked. (YAY! Now I don’t have to buy 2 right away!) LOL!

Any updates on the release of this? I’ve heard its pushed back farther now.?? I really really want to give this a try. Wonder if its forgiving for someone who’s dry with an oily t-zone?

Christine,
Have you seen this yet? I was in my Mac store on Tuesday and they told me that they did not think it would be out by today & that the launch would likely be delayed. Please share if you have heard anything, as I am very anxious for this foundation to come out!
thanks!

Heyy!! I have a question! Since MAC already has a Mineralize foundation out already, called Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation LOOSE, what’s the difference between the current ‘loose’ one, and this one that’s coming out?

I loved the loose foundation! It was amazing! The color was amazing, the coverage and especially the texture was great, so I’m definitely curious about this one.

Can anyone help me out? =] THANKS <3

I was in my MAC store yesterday and they told me that this was supposed to come out earlier this month, then was pushed to the 18th, and now they are not sure if it will happen in the 18th!!! Of course, they sometimes find things out the day of or less than a day in advance. But still… has anyone else heard this? Has anyone been able to buy this yet at their MAC store/counter?? I am a big fan of mineral makeup so I cannot wait for this to come out!

It has a similar consistency to tech (it’s creamy) but it feels like gel, like the studio sculpt concealer. It is different than anything I’ve tried it is a great foundation if you like medium coverage. It feels like it melts into your skin and it just makes you look so even colored and flawlessly beautiful. It doesn’t settle into pores or fine lines. So far I’m loving it! I am also in love with the 130 brush for application…MAC did a great job with this foundation…LOVE IT!

Joanna Avatar

I just bought this today and I’m excited to try it!

I recommend you test the foundation before you buy it. My usual NC20 was too dark and I had to go with NC15.

Sarah C Avatar

I just purchased it too! I love it! I did not have the same experience though with needing to go a shade lighter than my normal NC25.

It is by far the most natural looking makeup I have tried. It sinks right into your skin, and looks like you are not wearing any makeup at all. I was worried that the creamier texture would break me out… I pretty much cannot use any of Mac’s liquid foundations because they give me really bad zits. So, I was pleasantly surprised at how well I did with this stuff – no zits whatsoever! I concur with previous posts too about the 130 brush. It’s excellent! I love it!

Thanks for your post. I am worried about acne, too, and your post makes me feel less concerned cuz it really does glide on effortlessly. And surprisingly enough, it doesn’t feel oily at al. After all, the first ingredient is H2O!!!
