MAC Marge Simpson's Cutie-cles Nail Stickers Review & Photos
MAC Marge Simpson’s Cutie-cles Nail Stickers
MAC Marge Simpson’s Cutie-cle Nail Stickers ($16.50) have a shiny, yellow background with the cast of the Simpsons drawn in black. It’s the same pattern/design as featured on the boxes in this collection. You get two strips, each with eight diffently-sized “nails.” They’re about an inch in length (from the usable edge to the tip).
I don’t know if I’ve ever used nail stickers, but at least not in the last decade, so I was honestly surprised at how easy these were to apply and how nice they looked. The instructions were helpful, and as someone who has pretty much nil experience with it, I only had one goof where the sticker creased a tiny bit on one nail. I started by peeled the back of the sticker halfway, which exposed only the lower half of the sticker, so I could maneuver that along the bottom of each nail, and then slowly peeled the remaining bit off as I stretched and pressed the sticker onto the nail. Then, I bent the excess sticker over the free edge of my nail, rounding along the curves, and used a glass nail file to remove the excess. I did all ten nails in about five minutes–it was extremely easy! I’ve had them on for seven days, and they’re no worse for the wear: they look exactly the same eight days later as they did when I put them on. To remove, I used regular nail polish remover and felt, and it removed easily (pretty much like regular polish), and bonus: no yellow staining.
They don’t look as natural as something done yourself to me, because the bottom edge of it is so perfectly curved/neat, and obviously the drawings are perfect across all your nails. The pre-cut nails fit fairly well on me; only on one nail on each side was the width not quite right, but I was able to easily cut the excess sticker by just rounding my thumbnail along that edge. It’s hard to tell that these are Simpsons-related from afar, as the drawings are smaller. I was also really bummed with how the drawings were translating onto the nails. Not a single nail (and mine are longer, 0.6″ from base to tip) has Marge on it. Smithers shows up on six of the ten nails, and Edna shows up on four of the ten nails. Part of Maggie’s head is visible on six of the ten, then Lisa and Homer show up on two of the ten. Mr. Burns shows up once on each pinky nail, and there’s a bit of Sideshow Bob visible on the pinky nail design as well. I really wish they had broken up the design and thought more about who was going to be visible towards the base (which everyone will use).
These new, limited edition nail stickers are part of MAC’s collaboration with The Simpsons, which will launch online on August 28th and in-stores September 4th.

I would have put them on the other way round (the characters facing me) then there would have been a whole army of Marges! 😀
I totally need to buy these!
You’d have to do some trimming/cutting, I think, to get the curve to work well, but it could be doable!
Hey there! NCLA are the best in terms of unique patterns, but they are a little pricey. For a drugstore option, try the Sally Hansen ones… I’ve had some great sticker manis with them 🙂
These look nice! I tried essie’s nail stickers a while back, but found them much too wide for my nails – the smallest one kind of fit on my ring finger, but I couldn’t find a way to make the rest work :(.
Awww!! 🙁
The sizing is likely varied on some average or another, but they won’t fit all 🙁
Yellow nails aren’t a thing I am into.. but this is too cute on your hands!
🙂
They look fantastic on your nails! I’ve had some terrible experiences with nail stickers but these seem quite nice!
I’m glad my first experience was good, lol!
You know what… I actually like the look of these! 🙂
Yay!!
You’ve done a really neat job with them! Not for me, though. I’m too old (and I’m grateful for that ha ha!).
I have to admit, the idea was like, “Stickers? Really?!” but I’m really glad I gave ’em a chance. I was like, “Well, I should put them on so I can show all the product photos with these in them!”
As a lifelong “Simpsons” fan, I LOVE the print, but I hate the high cost-per-use of nail stickers, and that the cutest ones are usually limited edition–the best manis deserve to be worn many times!
Yes, they are pricey!! I took them off last night, but they still looked great. I could have gotten away with wearing them for longer.
I don’t get it – why give 2 strips of 8 and not 2 strips of 10?
Each strip is for one hand – you just get a couple of sizes for your fingernails so you can pick the right size, but I agree that it would be nice to get maybe two sets out of it!
These are actually really cool looking, but I still wish that they’d put lipsticks in the collection. It still seems like a massive mistake to me.
The collection was surprisingly small!
These are really adorable. Idk if I would wear them, because I’m not a devoted Simpsons fan. But, now I’m interested in trying some other patterned nail stickers. Can anyone recommend a good brand?
Hi Ginny,
These are the only ones I’ve tried myself!
Sooo cute! But yeah – – – we want Marge!
I wish they had really varied the pattern up/down. I honestly would have preferred less of this pattern for all and larger art, just because then you might *see* it without looking really close! Like one nail with marge and her hair, another with the sprinkles donut, then maybe one or two with the pattern.
As someone who does not like the Simpsons or nail stickers, I definitely won’t be buying these!
Good call!
This is so cute! Definitely something people will notice!
Glad you liked ’em!
Not gonna lie they look pretty cute, how is the lasting power on those stickers? i find that if well applied stickers last longer than nail polish.. but then again i never do a good job 😛 btw you have really nice hands (hope that doesnt come out as creepy as it seems lol)
Hi Mary!
I wore them for a week and didn’t look any different from when I applied them!
Thank you! 🙂
I’ve tried nail stickers and can never get them to look that good. They wind up ragged at the tip and pulling up on the sides and just very obviously a sticker. Also they didn’t last long.
In my next life I want your nail polish longevity juju.
These were seriously SOOOOOOOO EASY to apply. I approached them with much trepidation!
Based on your experience with wear I really hope Mac branches out with more of these. If they have a significant nail sticker collection I haven’t noticed, but that wear time is really, really good. And wow, Christine, you have to be either dedicated to your blog or to the Simpsons to wear those nails for 8 days!!!
Nope, they don’t have a permanent sticker collection as far as I know!
I’m definitely getting this one when it comes out! I wish it’s as good as NCLA’s patches.
I’ve tried a couple nail patches before, first one was Sephora’s and the second one was NCLA. Compared with Sephora’s, NCLA really shows how professional they are at the nail patch field. It’s just simply amazing, not much damage to your nail after peeling them off. And they lasts extreeeeeemely long, I can’t even believe that. I went thru moving and packing time with them. And they don’t chip as lacquer. You can only peel them off as a whole, or file them off when applying, other than that, it’s unusual to see the nice pattern being chipped at the end of the day.
I might have to check out NCLA!
They look awesome… I love it!!
Yay!
I really like the nail wraps idea, I wish they did that in past LE collections.
Maybe they’ll do it going forward!
I have to admit, when I saw the different photos from the reviews, while scrolling down your site, these nail stickers were the thing that most immediately made me smile 🙂 I think they’re super cute, and I’m glad they work well for you! I’ve never tried nail stickers, although I suspect they would be a disaster on me, as my nails can’t even hold gels for more than a week, LOL!
Honestly, I’m not a coordinated person at all, and these were SO EASY!
I think these makes nails happy. I just keep smiling when I look at them. I don’t think I’ll buy the nailstickers, as my nails never grow long, but I do like them a lt.
And they’re pricey for a one-time use!
These are really cool!
They are!
Fuuunnnn!!! Love them!!!
Fun is right!
