MAC I Get No Kick Eye Kohl
MAC Cham-Pale: I Get No Kick Eye Kohl
MAC I Get No Kick Eye Kohl ($14.50 for 0.048 oz.) is described as a “metallic nude,” and it is a new and limited edition eyeliner from Cham-Pale. MAC’s description is dead-on–it is a soft champagne nude with a metallic sheen. It works really well on the lower lash line to wake up tired eyes by adding some light and reflective sheen. Smooth and pigmented as MAC’s Eye Kohls, it also wears well (going on eight hours at the time of writing this review) without smudging or migrating.
I didn’t realize it, but the Eye Kohl is 0.048 oz., while most eye kohls are 0.04 oz., so this is a bit more of a value than I originally thought! I will include a swatch comparison of this shade against a few other nude eyeliners, but it does seem quite similar to Urban Decay’s Midnight Cowboy and Make Up For Ever #23L. I’m not sure if this is waterline safe, though.
MAC Cham-Pale Collection is a limited edition launch (official information and photos here) that is set to launch in-stores on December 26th in North American, January 2011 for international MAC locations. The approximate launch date for online is December 24th. It features color products as well as a few skincare items.

Seems like a fun alternative to a nude eyeliner! I wonder though, how much does the sheen show up in person?
Very nicely!
Yay! Thanks for answering!
I -kind- of wanted this at first glance, but I have the Sephora Flashy Pink waterproof liner, and it looks exactly the same.
Is this good for brightening the watere line instead of a harsh white?
Yup, but I’m not sure if this is waterline safe.
would nc 12/nc 20 or i get no knick be better for brightening the waterline
Either would work – this one would be subtler.
This seems like a nice skin color liner to put in the lower waterline, for a festive skintone shimmer.
Oh btw… It seems that they’ve named this after an old Frank Sinatra song “I get no kick.”
A line in it goes : “I get no kick from champagne.” And since the collection is Cham-pale, and this color is champagne like… I could be out of my mind, but I’m gonna say this is how they got the name.
Thanks, Jennifer! I was wondering where the name came from!
I love that song, Sinatra does an awesome job with it! It’s an old one Cole Porter composed, “I Get a Kick Out of You.” As soon as I saw the Cole Porter reference this item became a must-have! 🙂
The song is by Cole Porter called “I Get A Kick Out Of You.”
is it waterline safe?
I don’t have any of that information, but since it has shimmer in it, I would doubt it has been tested.
Oooh, this is gorgeous! I can’t wait to hear how it compares to MUFE’s Aqua Eyes — #23L is just gorgeous, but I don’t really want to be spending $19CAD on it!
I’m really liking this 🙂
Stunning
I’ve been debating on which eyeliners to pick up!
I thought I wanted the UD Eyeliner kit that’s coming out in January (the one with Asphyxia, Midnight Cowboy, and Perversion).
But now I’m wondering if I’d end up liking NC15/NW20, Feline and I Get No Kick just as well.
I was thinking from your swatches before that Feline or Perversion is definitely the blackest black.
I was also thinking that picking up MUFE 23L or UD Midniht Cowboy or I get no Kick would be good for the lower water line to open up the eyes instead of what I normally use, UD Yeyo.
Since I’m paler than N1, I keep thinking that NC15/NW20 would be too dark, but I really like the idea of picking up a matte shade for the lower water line, too.
I know I’ve had problems with the MAC kohls in the past, but I realized that was before I knew I had oily lids and used eye shadow primer. So since I don’t tend to have problems with eyeliners now, I’m thinking they’d probably work just fine.
Anyway, your swatches really help 🙂 Thank you!
But at the same time… you’ll get 15 eyeliners from the kit… and for about half that cost, you’ll only get 3 liners if you go separately…
I don’t think it will be too dark – it’s actually almost too stark on my waterline!
Yeah that’s a really good point, too 😉 The kit seems like a great value for the money.
I’ll probably just nab the kit and the NC15 and be done.
I love UD’s liners and the kit is a *great* value – even if it is $$ to get. But I do prefer the full-sized ones – I find the mini ones can be harder to use!
Yeah I tend to pick up my favorite colors in the full sizes and keep the smaller kit ones in my purse. My first foray into the UD liners was one of the VIP kits & I loved it. It caused me to buy a bunch in full size (Flipside, Electric, Zero, Yeyo, Ransom).
I love it!! Hope it arrives here soon!
I think this liner is MUST HAVE~!
It doesn’t look like you answered my question in your review, so I was wondering how soft this is? Does it feel really poky when you line your lower lash line with it? Or is it semi-soft? I’m really fond of Pearlglides, because I love how soft they are.
It’s just as soft as other MAC Eye Kohls, which are not as soft as Pearlglides, but it is not hard or “poky.”
I have been eyeing MUFE’s 23L liner for a while but still haven’t gotten it. Maybe I will pick this one up instead.
I was debating between this one or the NC15/20 one. Is the NC15/20 waterline safe? If so then I’ll pick that one over the IGNK since that one isn’t guaranteed safe.
I’m pretty sure I remember the Chromagraphic NC pencils being water line safe, but I haven’t heard anything about I Get No Kick (and the shimmer makes me assume they didn’t bother to test it).
Beautiful 🙂 I would’ve thought I’d love the Cham-Pale collection more than I have but I really like this one and it offers a good alternative to the UD Midnight Cowboy which I fell for but can’t get a hold of here (living in a country that doesn’t sell UD).
Do you know how long it holds up on the waterline though (assuming the eight hours was on your lower lashline)? Thank you!
I didn’t put it on the water line, since it has glitter!
I don’t know why I’m so torn between this one and the MUFE Aqua Eyes. This is cheaper and is very similar to the MUFE 23L but my problem is I’m not sure how long this is on the water lash line. When you say lower lash line do you also mean the water last line? Any advice, ladies?
Lower lash line is below the water line – I’m not sure if this one is water line safe (or the MUFE one, for that matter).
Do you recommend to use it at the inner corner of eyes (tear ducts)? Thanks
Sure!
how do you feel this liner would be on darker skin tones such as nw 45 or nw 50 ? b/c i am contemplating getting it. it really nice, but what do you think temptalia ?
I think it would be nice!
If this is sold out currently online… will they restock? or is it gone forever already lol? i was just wondering because i REALLY want this!
They do not typically restock.

How does this compare to stila topaz eye kajal?
I don’t have that, sorry!
I bought it today! My local counter still had it. So don’t loose hope. Check your local counters!!!
