I’m not sure if plum or lilac are colors I’d associate with a tiger, the palette looks more versatile with them though.
Several of the shadows look awfully similar – the top middle and bottom right shades; the 2 orange toned shades and the 2 red toned shades as well. Zzzz-more orange and red (how innovative…NOT). I do like the look of the highlighter but that’s about it…
Mariella, I should have said “ditto” to your comment instead of posting my own. I like the highlighter. I’m tired of red, orange and pink eyeshadow too.
ShariP – not a problem! You will find there are several of us who are more than fed up with the proliferation of those shades in just about every eyeshadow release from every company! I just with the companies themselves were reading our comments….maybe we could get a similar flood of taupe, slate, grey, brown and other more wearable (for us) and welcome shades!
The packaging/presentation of these is really something gorgeous! I’ll probably at least get one Powder Kiss Liquid Lipcolor in either Luck Be A Lotus or Peachy Party. The e/s palette looks nice, but it’s something I would need to see swatches of first.
Very pretty packaging! I appreciate the elegant look since many of the collections I’ve seen this year are cutesy. I love the bullet lipstick colors, too. They complement the shadow palette well.
MAC always brings out a lovely looking highlighter and at least a set of lipsticks as well as lip glosses.
But the eyeshadow palette looks a bit strange with that lilac shade dropped into the middle of it – definitely not a lunar colour. It will be interesting to see how it reviews.
But yes Mariella, more and more reds….

Love the packaging and color story of the palette, but I got a previous year’s MAC lunar new year palette and found I didn’t reach for it much because I preferred the formula of other brands. I am surprised I might not pick up anything even though it’s my lunar year. Definitely considering a brush!

I haven’t made a purchase from MAC’s lunar collections over the years, but they always catch my eye. I really want to get a highlighter with a fancy design one year and the lunar collections are all but a guarantee for light highlighter shades. This year looks like no exception, though all the lip products are going to be too pink for my tastes.
