MAC Cosmetics - Subtler Smoky Eye, what I wore to interview Dita Von Teese!

I used Silver pigment on lid, Vex eyeshadow on inner lid, Silver Ring eyeshadow on middle of lid, Blue Storm eyeshadow on outer lid, Carbon eyeshadow in the crease and part of outer ild, Vex eyeshadow above crease, Ricepaper eyeshadow on brow, Vex eyeshadow on inner lower lash line, Thunder eyeshadow on outer lower lash line, and Feline kohl power on lower lash line. I wore Margin blush with Emote blush to contour on cheeks. I had Mari-sheeno lipstick with Mouthwatering lipglass on my lips.

I was going to ask you if you were wearing Vex that evening!

Funny, I had it on too (lid and lower lash line).

I am completely convinced I need Mari-sheeno now thanks to you.

How’s your Friday going?

I’m sitting here drinking coffee and I’m still in my pajamas with REALLY RATTY HAIR, ha ha. And I’m reading everybody’s blogs BBN. There’s a new beauty story that I’ve been meaning to check out by the mall (same one as Luluemon) called Blue Mercury that I may visit today. I can already sense the danger …

I think they have a mix of makeup, hair and skin stuff. I peeked in there the other day when I bought my bag (it’s right next door, DOH!) and I saw some Trish McEvoy and Kiehl’s. It’s very nicely laid out and seems like a DEN O TEMPTATION!

Sephora can sometimes be serious stimulous overload. (Say that fast five times) The one in Novato I can handle, though, just because it’s small and somewhat contained.

But honestly, the last thing I need to be doing in this world is buying more makeup! Which is why I am so looking forward to going to the Pro Store, HA HA HA!

Karen Avatar

OH GOD! Yes, but see here’s the thing: I purposefully made it long so that I can edit it down. I just hope I can stick to the edited version.

I also noticed that there are more brights/colorful products on my list too, but I think that’s because both you and Kia over at yummy411 have been inspiring me to get more color into my makeup life! AHHH! Next stop: hot pink shadow. Yeah right!

And I’m still buying you birthday dessert, dammit!

Christine Avatar

Ha, that’s the way to go. You’ll have to send me your unedited list so I can see what’s on it! I’m so curious 😉

Welll, one of the new mattes (Post Haste) is bright pink!! I think it’s destiny!

Okay, okay! I’ll admit defeat on that point!

Karen Avatar

When I looked at your swatch of Post Haste I *did* get that tingly makeup feeling. I can’t lie. Where the heck would I wear that though?!?!

Okay, I will look for yummy places to eat dessert, unless you have a favorite place. I’ve heard that there are several cupcake places in SF, oh la la, birthday cupcakes!

Christine Avatar

Haha! Wear it with soft golds, touch of orange, and then just on the outer edge and it’s a sunset eye! I guess better for summer, but whateva!

No favorite place – to be honest, I haven’t been to that many places in SF. So go ahead and pick 🙂
