Black ore is the best…totally neat and great smokey glimmer eye!
The Sunpower is pretty awesome as well.

They are long lasting as well, but I use paint or fluidliner under any pigment to help them stay.

i want the volcanic ash, body and lip conditioner, charged water. and it looks like at least one lippy from each collection! 😀

Marcela Avatar

gosh all these colour stories look AMAZING!!! hehe Christine you have addicted me to MAC!!! (even though my “collection” is lousy…) i just hope we get all of these in argentina…at least i have time to save up!!!
and…i suppose i’d only get one or two things from each collection cause its pretty expensive over here…but i love makeup, and sacrifices are necessary sometimes ; )
thankyou!!!

by the way, what are those solar bits???

Tekoa Avatar

Look! Up in the sky! Is it a blush? Is it an eyeshadow? No! Its super solar bits!

Depending on what it is, Black Ore has my interest.

So what exactly are these Solar Bits? Sound like a pigment, but is it for your eyes? I can’t imagine wearing the black one anywhere else. The rest maybe as highlighters or for the eyes, very interesting!

Julia Avatar

Look at the model’s eyes! That is probably the Solar Bits. Just a different packaging for pigments? Different formula probably?

very cool 🙂 I really like the orange…so fun and different…makes me in the mood for summer…reminds me of being on vacation somewhere tropical and warm, with a drink that has one of those little umbrella in it. Deep sigh. Anyways I dont think a lot of the actual colors from this line will suit me but I sure am curious to see it and the Solar Bits sure sounds interesting…cant wait to hear more details.

oh i want the bronzers but i don’t like using bronzers. if the refined golden is really just gold, i am getting it then. thanks for the photos again, have to start saving!!:)

Karen Avatar

Could it be a product like Lorac Glam Rocks? That’s a much creamier, clumpier powder than your average pigment. They’re pretty hard to work with, but man! The payoff is amazing.

Nell Avatar

Ohh, great! Christine, I love you!
I hope they move up the release date (as MAC so often does), since I´m in NYC from MAY 21 to 25. Oh please, please…

Hi Christine,

I’m at my lunch break now (4:00 pm, yeah I know!!) and I’m just all over your blog. I am gonna be so broke this summer. These solar bits look great. I wonder if they’re cheek products…but then there’s a black one, hummm…Either way I know for sure I would want to try them.

pompam Avatar

Im lemming the bronzer powder!!
Love the orange package,,so nice to carry it around during summer time!
i guess i will go for refined golden, as it should go well on my NC20-25skin

Solar bits look so nice too,,but i dont really know how to use pigment lol
stupid me!

Andrea Avatar

My guess for the solar bits is a new highly pigmented paint pot. The packaging looks glass and are small like the paint pots but have the description more like a pigment. They are also the same price as a pigment. I agree that the model is probably wearing the Black Ore solar bits on her eyes. I’m curious to see what is in the pot, hopefully something will come to light soon.

I have always loved the bronzer look when it comes out in photos but how do you get that look without looking darker? What would be a good shade?

Krys Avatar

Christine, any more word on what those Solar Bits actually are? Are they like Meteorites? That’s the speculation I’ve heard, but it doesn’t look like that to me, honestly.

mary Avatar

OMG i so want all of this NOW! I just bought EVERYTHING in the Naughty Nautical collection… they need to span released out a little more! My wallet can’t handle it! Im exciting for Solar bits! & that volcanic masks sounds awesome as well! the MA @ my MAC was telling me about another collection called neo something thats a bunch and red adn bright fun colors! any word on that?!

Paula Avatar

I am so excited for this new collections!!! I didn’t get too much of the NN because I felt it wasn’t meant for my medium dark skin…just me. Anyway this warm colors are beautiful, I just called my fav MA at my counter at Nordstrom and she said that the Solar Bits are BEAUTIFUL! she said that they are like pigments but they go on more smooth and they are more pigmented and metallic, she said they have never had something like it! She also told me that the Volcanic Thermal mask is AMAZING, it leaves the skin sooooo soft. Keep saving girls, oh..call your counter because a lot of them (like mine) are launching the new stuff on the 21, YOU WANT TO GET YOUR HANDS ON THIS STUFF, TRUST ME!!!!!
