Ahh I want all of them! It’s so hard to choose, especially since I know I won’t be wearing them too frequently so there isn’t much use in getting a lot.

Could you possibly post pictures of you wearing the other ones as well? Or maybe use them in a look? It’s always nice to see what these products look like on you, just because they can often be surprising (like Red Flame/Orange Flicker). I’m thinking about getting Custom Rose/Pink Virtue or Ripe & Ready/Soft & Lush…I like the more coral-y colour of R&R/S&L but I don’t know if it would be too loud for everyday use, since I usually wear pretty tame coral-pink colours.

Also, you mentioned that the Soft & Lush part of Ripe & Ready/Soft & Lush reminded you of your $50 Cle de Peau gloss…is that the case?? I absolutely adored that gloss, though I don’t think I could bring myself to shell out $50 for it…so if Soft & Lush looks kind of like it, I would probably buy that prolongwear.

Sigh…choices, choices…

i second this. i got the pink air white top thinking i would have a really light pink lip, but it went on my lips very transparent and was more of a mauve color, not that much different from my natural lip color, so i thought ‘what a waste’ and i returned it. but ripe and ready/soft and lush looks very bright on you so i think i might try that one on in the store. hopefully it will be better. i like the concept of a pro-longwear.

Hey Miss Fred!

I’ll be posting them as I wear them for certain 🙂

Ripe & Ready is pretty bright for a coral, I would suppose. I did use it in a look, just recently!

It is similar, not a dead ringer, though. NARS Orgasm gloss is really close – just sheerer and not as pigmented! Nymphette has the same kind of effect, though not as pink!

The one I love is Boss Brown which is already an existing shade, but I do like the frosty light cream pink gloss that came with it in this collection.

I have often wondered if these dry out your lips. I wouldn’t want a lip product that felt dry. Other long wear type products that I have tried are supposed to be applied to a clean lip and let to dry. After a short time wearing them they then start to peel and look nasty. Do these MAC ones to that?

The regular PLW peeled on me when applied on my clean lips, but with these, I moisturized first (used Warm Smile tendertone, actually) and they were very comfortable. hth!

I grabbed a few of these–so far Red Reflection is my favorite. They’re not particularly drying IMO–*IF* you prep properly, they’re not problematic at all.

I forgot to add to my earlier comment (above)….
Just be careful when you open them….I ended up breaking my gloss side so that when I twist to open, the lid part keeps clicking (I twisted it open too hard the wrong way and broke where it was glued in) so now, I have to pull the gloss tube off in order to get to the brush. But I still am loving the Custom Rose colour, its just so pretty and looks so glossy on the lips, its hard to describe. I may just go back and buy another colour. And too, this is my first MAC lip colour and gloss.
