MAC Connect in Colour 12-Pan Palette debuted on Ulta last week in three variations, though they were taken down for purchase within a day (but not before I bought the ones available!). One wasn’t available to purchase even when it first popped online, so I only have two of the three. I imagine they will return soon, though, so here are swatches in the meanwhile… I am not particularly encouraged by how these have performed thus far, so I don’t think this is MAC’s return to form on delivering on eyeshadow.

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Christine, are these Ulta exclusives? I’ve not seen them at all on the MAC website and was wondering if perhaps they disappeared from the ULTA site to allow for a MAC launch first. These are all rather disappointing (the smaller palettes and these). As most (maybe all?) of the shadows are ones MAC has done before (either from the permanent line or from earlier LE releases), you’d think they’d be able to get the quality, pigmentation, etc. spot on. Mind you, with the move to “clean” and the unavailability or perceived undesirability of some ingredients, perhaps it’s not the easy task I’d think it would be.

I have no idea! I don’t have any contact with MAC, so I just get information based on what they’ve posted on their social media or if something launches online. I’m guessing it launched too early, though I’m surprised it hasn’t re-launched – but possibly this Thursday? I’m not sure.

They had these at my local Ulta yesterday but they aren’t on their site or MACs website it is so strange!!! I did buy the nude larger palette and even though it’s not ground breaking I really love it!!!

Interested in Future Flame. Not that I need it — I have dupes or close-enoughs for most shades, and really just a few of them are actually calling my name. Still, maybe… Depends on the reviews probably.

I have many MAC eyeshadows, Grain and Naked Lunch and I go wayyyyy back. These and the smaller ones, there’s something squirrelly going on because they aren’t showing up anywhere and 80 percent of these shades are older than the hills. I think MAC has become lazy. I do ! They need a shake up in their creative department or I guess they will limp along producing this ‘stuff’ Sad
