MAC Connect in Colour 12-Pan Palettes Swatches
MAC Connect in Colour 12-Pan Palette debuted on Ulta last week in three variations, though they were taken down for purchase within a day (but not before I bought the ones available!). One wasn’t available to purchase even when it first popped online, so I only have two of the three. I imagine they will return soon, though, so here are swatches in the meanwhile… I am not particularly encouraged by how these have performed thus far, so I don’t think this is MAC’s return to form on delivering on eyeshadow.
Uh oh… Because Future Flame swatched so nicely, I had high hopes for that one!
The other one not so much, though.
Christine, are these Ulta exclusives? I’ve not seen them at all on the MAC website and was wondering if perhaps they disappeared from the ULTA site to allow for a MAC launch first. These are all rather disappointing (the smaller palettes and these). As most (maybe all?) of the shadows are ones MAC has done before (either from the permanent line or from earlier LE releases), you’d think they’d be able to get the quality, pigmentation, etc. spot on. Mind you, with the move to “clean” and the unavailability or perceived undesirability of some ingredients, perhaps it’s not the easy task I’d think it would be.
I have no idea! I don’t have any contact with MAC, so I just get information based on what they’ve posted on their social media or if something launches online. I’m guessing it launched too early, though I’m surprised it hasn’t re-launched – but possibly this Thursday? I’m not sure.
They had these at my local Ulta yesterday but they aren’t on their site or MACs website it is so strange!!! I did buy the nude larger palette and even though it’s not ground breaking I really love it!!!
MAC’s social media account just posted about these so hopefully they’re coming soon… officially, lol!
Hm. I have a few of these shades as singles and the swatches here all look weaker than what I have (particularly Satin Taupe).
The formula feels awful 🙁
I had the same reaction, Kate. Seeing Christine’s comment about how they feel awful – well, it’s just SO disappointing because I think a lot of us were hoping that “MAC was BACK”.
Interested in Future Flame. Not that I need it — I have dupes or close-enoughs for most shades, and really just a few of them are actually calling my name. Still, maybe… Depends on the reviews probably.
Disappointing is the word here – I had a few hopes for Unfiltered Nudes – Accept Cookies and Hidden Album look nice, but that’s about it.
I love the shade names haha.
I have many MAC eyeshadows, Grain and Naked Lunch and I go wayyyyy back. These and the smaller ones, there’s something squirrelly going on because they aren’t showing up anywhere and 80 percent of these shades are older than the hills. I think MAC has become lazy. I do ! They need a shake up in their creative department or I guess they will limp along producing this ‘stuff’ Sad
Just yesterday I seen these available at my local outlet mall within the cosmetic company store
I think you saw the Art Library palettes, which these look like they’re replacing!
I’m wondering if they are the same eyeshadows as the old discontinued ones.
The formula is different.
Thank you Christina! I also notice some difference in the colors.
Not impressed. Very dupable. The pan look like MUFE’s old pans (but that don’t have the plastic pans holder).
Oof. It feels like MAC has been dying a slow death.
