I don’t own any of these. The only beiges that I have are in combination palettes.

it’s funny how skin tone affects overall colour. Vanilla looks peachier on my (cooler) skin. Dazzlelight has been my go-to highlighter for years, alternating with the limited shades Manila Paper and Creamy Bisque. For some reason, I really love Mac highlight shades!
Nylon was a go-to for awhile, and Ricepaper as well. But once Femme-fi came out, I just used that, lol!

I love beige shadows! They are just the perfect go-to shades! Thank you so much for doing these swatches! They do make comparison and shade searching much much easier!

*sigh* I don’t know what it is about Femme-fi but I’ve been in love with it for years. It always seemed so perfect. If I ever saw it in the original Neo Sci-fi packaging for a reasonable price I would snatch it up immediately.
I think it’s the finish. It’s shimmery enough to highlight without being *frosty*!
I don’t suppose you’ve ever seen anything that dupes Nanogold? It seems like it should fit into the beige shadows . . .

Oooh, good suggestions! MAC sold me Pink Opal pigment which does the job, but isn’t quite a match.
Vellum, Vapour, Blanc Type and Vanilla are the MAC highlights I always loved the most.
If you had to pick one only, which would it be?
I’ve got all of these except Mylar and Femme Fi (which I wish they’d repromote). I need to take a look at Mylar next time I’m at MAC to see how much I actually, “really” need it. Vapour doesn’t get a lot of attention but it’s one I really like when I remember to use it.
I can’t believe they don’t repromote Femme-Fi more!

I miss Shroom in your overview. The beige MAC shadow I use most (hit pan on it). I would also suggest Brule, but its provides less quality compared to Blanc Type. From your list I own Vanilla, Phloof, Blank Type and Mylar.

These are all eyeshadows that I use a lot! I have so many eyeshadows that are just collecting dust, but not any of these. Blanc Type or Mylar are used every single day on the brow bone. Dazzlelight and Femme-fi are great on the inner corner. Just enough oomph without being too much (unlike the very popular Nylon). And I love Vapour all over to brigten up the lid when I wear a bright winged liner.
I like Nylon as a highlight, but for certain looks – it can be too metallic at times!
I’ve become less obsessed with finding perfect beiges, but I do still love them. I use a beige-y shadow most days just as a wash of color to even out my lid color

wow vapour and blanc type look interesting…I always thought blanc type was straight up white but this seems liek something I could use..and vapour looks like it has a sheen but its not frosty…

Huge love for Blanc Type. I lucked out on this one — it was the first matte highlight I ever purchased, and happened to be the perfect one for my skintone! Just a hair lighter than my natural lid shade & a wonderfully creamy matte. ♥

Femme fi was the only shadow I hit pan on. I swapped one of my backups away since I figured mac would repromote…and kick myself for it since mac hasn’t repromoted! I think I may get vapour and vanilla. I love the velvet finish and it’s my favorite when it’s good
