i believe its because all they do is release the same old colors with a new “name” sticker on the bottom and us fools fall for it!! not anymore! the last cook, shop … whatever it was called was a joke!… 3 of the lipsticks were the exact same color as originals!

I thought those mineralize shadows looked extremely familiar, so I had to check my stash. I assume that they are reformulated, but it seems like Love Cycle=Pink Split and Love Cycle=Sea&Sky. From what I can see from the pictures they look exactly the same (except the wavy line in the middle ofc). I guess that means these are repromotes. But what’s up with the name change? :S

Layla Avatar

Yeah that’s 2 get everyone’s money , it’s a business and alot of fools fall for it and repeated colors , look in your drawers you will find that u can dupe a lot of colors from mac’s high money hungry gimmick collections!

Jenn Avatar

I love the lip colours! Nice to see a matching gloss and lipstick. Perhaps it wont sell out as quickly because they’re the same colour? SO over mineralized products, though.

karen Avatar

is it me or… these eyeshadows are basically the repromotes for the last discontinued range of mineralize eyeshadows, example: Love Cycle is the same as Sea and Sky (the one that was discontinued)LOL

Chelle Avatar

Beautiful… but all too similar to stuff I already own. I can’t figure out if I just have too MUCH stuff from MAC, or that everything they’re doing lately is too similar to stuff they’ve already done in the past or already have in their permanent line.

Miss J Avatar

I’m not sure if it’s with the collection since it’s not in the list of products, but it’s a permanent PRO product, as far as I know it has not been discontinued. It’s just a clear gloss texture. It’s not lip gloss, but simply a clear gloss that can be used on lips, eyes, cheeks/face/body. It’s less sticky than the clear lipglass. It can be used to custom mix lip gloss with pigments, to create a glossy eye, or used on the face to create shine/glossy highlights.

I hope this helps, Naz! 🙂

Wow, MAC are really into their mineralize eyeshadows and super-bright lipsticks at the moment!

I really like the description of some of these products more than the photos. Budding Love lipglass sounds great but the picture doesn’t look anything like “pale lavender” to me. Pink Union also sounds amazing from the description but the picture looks a bit blah. Still, I’m excited for the lipstick version of Budding Love. Can you tell I’m a fan of purples? 😉

Miss J Avatar

I like Force of Love, but no surprise there since I’m a pink lippie fan. The outer packaging is pretty, I suppose. I guess I am tired of smaller collections filled with mostly permanent products or repromotes with someone’s name slapped on em. Do a smaller collection of all new stuff or do a big collection with some permanent or repromotes to round it out, not just all repromotes.

i love the promo pics! and the swirl dividing the mineral shadows 😛 it’s a small touch, but appreciated. i wanna see that vivid honeysuckle lipcolor!!

Ms. Mad Avatar

Will you be posting any swatches soon? I’ve been dying to see some, especially the lipstick and lipglass swatches on lips. I am holding out on placing my order. I always like to see your swatches and comments/ratings before I place my orders. Thank you

Michelle Avatar

I want the force of love lipstick (what finish is it?) and the purple lipglass. Other than that not so impressed and I kind of like that they don’t change the packaging, it keeps the prices the same.

Jennifer Avatar

Really, the only thing that interests me is Force of Love lipstick- but I think I’ll wait to see what finish it is, and how it performs on the lips.

Meh. *shrugs* Guess this is better for my wallet!

Julie Avatar

Wow – those promo pictures are beautiful! Makes me want all of the shadows to recreate that look. So pretty and totally wearable, in my opinion.

Somewhat on topic…. How can I buy mac Pro products without being qualified to be a part of the Mac Pro Program? I am working on customizing a few 15-pan eyeshadow palettes so I can have my own little “best of mac eyeshadow” palette. But there are a few colors like Deep Damson & Bottle Green that are so pretty that I would feel like my palettes were incomplete without them.

Thanks for any help!

Rebecca Avatar

I wish they would have changed the actual packaging a bit more, maybe made it a deep blue instead of black to fit the whole water feel, i loved mac’s special collection packaging changes!

ellie Avatar

I want the force of love lipstick and maybe the matching gloss too. I hope it’s an amplified finish.
Maybe the reason why MAC doesn’t change the packaging of their product anymore is because a lot of people complain when they do that saying their cheap looking, looks like a toy, etc.

Allie Avatar

Only the lip products have grabbed my attention here, and just barely. Force of Love looks gorgeous but it also looks like eight million others things MAC has released lately… don’t care for anything else.

Wish the packaging was on everything, though. What’s the point of coming up with sleeve designs otherwise?

Riana Avatar

I know I hate that. I still have the outer packaging plus the super cute tubes from MAC Heatherette and MAC Liberty of London.

It makes me not even want to pick up a collection when they spend money on the cheap cardboard but not on the packaging, despite the money WE spend on THEM.

Nancy Avatar

Phew, looks like I can skip this this whole collection with the exception of the 2 lipsticks and glosses! I love it when MAC releases sucky collections, it saves me money..truth be told! I can justify skipping this collection and putting the extra money towards a getaway.

REI Avatar

The powder is back!!!

me got a fair tone and love to tried different highlighters;pinkish,orangy-silver….but at the end found pink is much more preferable

So Christine, compare with Benefits Watt’s Up! & Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous Face Illuminator, which one looks more natural glow?

Kath Avatar

Along the lines of packaging–Is there going to be another summery-beachy line for the summer? Like To The Beach and Surf Baby?

Neslihan Avatar

I agree with other comments stating that the MAC releases new “collections” quite often (like 2 times 1 month!!) and it became such a drag..In the past I used to wait for the new collections and get so excited but now I’m like “who cares?”
I wish someone from the brand could read these and take into serious account because they’re seriously damaging the overall brand by trying to fool the customers and overkilling the excitement element!
Please MAC, stop and relax a bit!
