Sunny Days are Here!

L’Oreal Eternal Sunshine Infallible Eyeshadow ($7.99 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium yellowy gold with a frosted, metallic finish. It has a strong sunshine yellow coloring to it, so it’s warm, but it’s not orange. Tarina Tarantino Mr. Gold is similar, less metallic. MAC Sweet & Sour is very similar. Bare Escentuals Aspire is a bit lighter. Urban Decay Blunt is close.

Eternal Sunshine had excellent color payoff, and it applied smoothly and evenly both wet and dry.  When applied damp or wet, the metallic finish is more prominent, whereas when applied dry, it has more of a frosted look with less of a reflective sheen.  While these are advertised to wear for 24-hours, that’s a bit of a stretch, but I did put this shade to the test for sixteen hours.  It wore beautifully–no fading, no creasing.

Oh Lawdie that look great on you! I can’t get over how much I love Infallible e/s’s. I hope they come out with more shades, L/E or permanent, hopefully more matte. I love the lightest matte one – even works well as an e/s base. Thank you for your excellent reporting. I now check with you every day!

Whoa, that’s lovely. It probably can work as a base as well. I’ve been looking for a shade like that since forever. Metallic golds look dark on me, but this seems very frosty and pastel toned. And it looked great paired with that purple on the crease! I really hope it makes it to Spain, half the Maybelline colour tattoo e/s have different names (and shades!) here, same with Loreal’s Infallibles. *crossing my fingers*

Oh I might have to pick this up when I see a deal or coupon or something. I don’t really need more goldy colors…but this one looks lighter than the ones I already own. Thanks for reviewing Christine!

I’ve been contemplating this shade since they first launched, but now I’ve been pushed over, LOL. I don’t wear a lot of golds, as they typically look very yellow & harsh on me, but this one definitely looks like it’ll work.

You’d be surprised- Nars has this color, either exactly or close enough to fool me- no small feat – and it’s great on my blue undertones skin. I avoid yellow at all cost, but this and the Nars are really very gold.

I like this one a lot. I have them all, barring any limited-edition colors I missed before I started collecting, and this one is one of my faves, it’s just so pretty 🙂

Can we get a DOUBLE LOVE button!!! 🙂
I bought this when they first came out & I use it at least 3 times per week and it hasn’t even dented.

Its also a staple for my lazy/rush eye look. This on the lid, eyeliner & mascara. I love that its long lasting no primer needed!

I just bought a bunch of these eye shadows (great sale!) and they are every it as fabulous as Christine said; I’m amazed by them! Every purple and neutral color but this one. It’s out all over town. Seems L’Oreal owns Armani make up and they really are the same, but the drugstore ones didn’t make the department store cut, either for color or quality.

Now I want a little tamper for all my pigments. This is brilliantly conceived make up.
