I found that to be the case- for some reason I never feel as inclined to pick up Vice 2 as other palettes, and I thought it would be a favourite.

The laura mercier palette from christmas is better than this palette and if u have it like i do you dont need this….overall the pro 1 is better pick than this one and on tan skin it looks muddy because of the gray cast on some colors.

CeliaV Avatar

So excited! I love how it complements the original so well. A truer purple, navy blue, awesome matte grays, jade olive, and a ton of interesting browns. Can’t wait 🙂

The first Lorac Pro palette is honestly my favourite of all time. I will use every single shadow in that palette until they are all gone. The pigmentation is phenomenal. I will definitely be buying this!

Another question… Will this also be available at Nordstrom or Nordstrom.com? I hate cheating on my relationship with Nordstrom.

Lacey J. Avatar

Why me? I don’t need anymore eyeshadow. I really don’t, but my collection will feel so incomplete without this. Okay okay, seriously after this one more thing, no more makeup shopping! I love your blog but seriously Christine why do you do this to me? 😀 😛

Jackie Avatar

I work at an Ulta and while we know it launched today online we don’t know when we’ll have it in store just yet(at least at our store!). I wish it was here now! Usually these come out online before they’re available in stores. boo. 🙁

StrangeOne Avatar

I still don’t have a neutral eye palette and the nakeds are a bit too glittery for me so I had finally decided on the nudetude and now you’re showing me this. Back to the drawing board..

Tracy Avatar

Just saw some swatches. Not too impressed but I might have to see them in person in order to decide.
I love the first one so I may skip the second.

This looks more encouraging than the first palette in terms of shade balance, but it’s still looks like it leans warm to my eye. The only true cool-toned neutral palette I’ve come across was NYX Butt Naked, and that was only LE…and the face product section of the palette was bafflingly warm compared to the rest of it. I long for the day of permanent cool-toned collections. 😛

Veronica Avatar

Whoops, you’re right! I even own that palette, so I should know better. TF is probably the only brand I know of who regularly releases cool-toned palettes. (Not the same story for their face products, though. *sigh*)

One of the things I like about the Lorac Pro Palette(s) is that the names of the shadows are simple and tell you pretty much what the colour is. I mean, honestly, that is SO refreshing instead of reading names like “Freak Rainstorm” or “Fairy’s Wish” – what the heck do names like those even MEAN???? Light Brown, Cool Grey, Mocha, Navy – I so much prefer those sorts of names.

Vanessa Avatar

Stop it! I just put myself on a no-buy after getting some of Chanel and Mac’s LE’s for summer (and a few more MAC lipsticks) and LORAC has to do this to me! Pro 1 is my favorite palette at the moment and I think I will get this too. It’s my birthday this month anyway. Then no more Christine, you are killing me but I love it.

Kirsten Avatar

These colors look like they’re too dark for my tastes, but it just might be the kick in the butt I need to go out and buy the first one.

kjh Avatar

When I looked at the Pro Palettes side-by-side on the Ulta website, the #2 looked lighter, overall. I never got #1, and now think I want both. Isn’t that just the way with palettes? Now, after Chrysalis + cruising Christine’s dupes, just gotta get that Monarch, too. Oh, boy!

Shelley Avatar

This palette is just not screaming out to me like the first one did. I’d have to see it in person to determine if its a must have in my collection.

Liz Avatar

THe original is probably my most fave of all, and I have LOTS of eye palettes! Gray doesn’t get me too thrilled and some of these others might not either. I will check it out in person and see how similar or not to the original on the colors I look at that I do like- the warm tones, and see on the others. Thanks on the pic and names!

LaDoshis Avatar

Oooh! This looks so much more appealing to me than he first one! I dot need new eyeshadow but if the swatches are good I think I will get this!

Arielle Avatar

The ‘jade’ in this looks great here but I have the lorac ‘stylist’ palette and the similar moss green shade in that is disappointing. I’ll be picking this up but am a bit worried that it won’t appeal to me in the same way the original did

Meghan Avatar

Ulta only?! 🙁 that is bad news for me since Ulta doesn’t ship to Canada! I missed out on the first Lorac Pro palette and now that Sephora doesn’t carry Lorac anymore… Looks like I may be out of luck!

Brenda Avatar

Agreed – I felt a big “UGH” when I read ULTA. So many great things show up there that aren’t available to us in Canada anywhere else!! (I’m in the GTA). It is a wee bit frustrating.

Annie Avatar

I might need this… I absolutely LOVE the original Pro Palette. I never even thought I needed it (another neutral palette) until I swatched it in the store one day and was amazed by the quality of the shadows, so smooth and buttery! This looks like a great new set of colors. I think the Pro Palette eyeshadows are way better quality than my original Naked palette. Glad it will be available at ULTA too – I love their rewards program… I earn $ off my purchases so quickly!

macy Avatar

Its up for grabs on the Ulta website RIGHT NOW. 🙂 I just bought mine.
Supposed to be released tomorrow. But they put it up early.

Hurry guys!!!

J Avatar

I’m gonna get this when it comes into my store and I’m super excited for it! I’ve held out on the first one for so long because I have so many shadows similar to those colors. I’m absolutely lusting after these colors though, esp navy and jade!

Ashley Avatar

This palette does not look appealing to me…cool toned shades do not look good on me. I definitely want the first more than the second
