Formula Overview
$38.00/0.43 oz. - $88.37 Per Ounce
The formula is described as a "sheer, lightly tinted and skin adaptive base" with "small" pearls that give a "glowy and seamless" highlighting effect to skin. It is also supposed to have a "subtle skin tightening and smoothing effect." The intensity of the pearl can be built up per the brand.
It had a soft, luminous sheen that wasn't so dewy that it veered into oily territory and had fine pearl that illuminated without emphasizing skin texture. The effect could be intensified by layering more product on, as described. The pigmentation was sheer, as marketed, and buildable to more semi-sheer to medium coverage if desired.
To see the subtle smoothing effect, the product was best applied directly to bare skin, left to set (three minutes as advised by the brand), and then add-on base products as desired. I found that the formula was definitely more smoothing this way, though it never added to the texture of my skin, even when applied directly on top of foundation.
The consistency was thin, lightweight, and more watery, so application was easiest dabbing a bit on the back of my hand, and then using a fingertip or a stippling brush to pick up product and pat onto my skin. The product applied well over bare skin as well as over base products as it wasn't prone to lifting up foundation when I did it this way. If I applied directly from the doe-foot applicator over foundation, it seemed to over-apply product and be too wet, so it was harder to work with and tended to spread out to a larger area than I intended.
It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading a bit on me.

Oh. My. That is absolutely amazing and gorgeous! Definitely something I hope to order soon, perhaps even this autumn.
i honestly canāt tell whether iām enamored with the product or just love the packagingā¦
This is pretty. Just an understated, nice hue. Iād love it if she offered it in powder also. A true consideration though.
Hi, Christine–
I know this is the wrong product page for this question, but for obvious reasons (the reviews are from 2019 and 2021), comments are closed on her lipsticks, so here goes: On the basis of your swatches, I just bought these highlighters (very nice, if a bit heavy-feeling on my skin… now, if I could just get up the nerve to leave the house again, I might have somewhere to wear them!) and after I added her new foundation (haven’t tried it yet), I found myself clicking on those gorgeous Luxuriously Lucent lipsticks that all looked so-o-o beautiful on you in the past.
They are just as gorgeous in person but WAY too bright for me, and since I would never send things back based on my own error, I’m trying to repurpose them as blushes. I know I’ve heard makeup artists say they use lipsticks that way, and I have done so once or twice myself with sample MAC lipsticks.
However, I have looked everywhere I can think of online and can’t find any information about why or why not this would work with these specific types. I know you only cover the brand’s claims in your reviews, but I also know you’re VERY familiar with lip/cheek formulas (and makeup formulas in general) by now, so I thought you might be able to help. If it’s relevant, I have the original Love of My Life from 2019, and then three of the 2021 colors as well.
Thanks in advance!
Christine, is this shade’s finish somewhat less dewy/wet-looking than the other ones (celestial fire comes to my mind for example) or am I mistaken?
I can’t tell for sure, but judging by the picture of you wearing it it looks so.
Very lovely glow on you!
