Anjelica

Lisa Eldridge Anjelica Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow ($27.00 for 0.09 oz.) is a darker, rosy peach base with lighter, almost gilded bronze pearl and faint sparkle throughout. It had opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, though it was more inclined to diffuse and blend out, so for higher coverage, it was best applied with a brush to the lid area in a thin, even layer. For sheerer coverage, where the sparkles in the finish became more prominent, apply with a fingertip or a fluffy brush.

The consistency felt like a fluid mousse–it was lightweight, spreadable, but it went on evenly without settling into fine lines as it dried down. I had enough time to work with it before it set to a totally budge-proof finish. It lasted for over 10 hours without fading or creasing on me.

Formula Overview

$27.00/0.09 oz. - $300.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to have a "creamy and lightweight" texture that has a "lustrous, wet-look finish with a durable shine." It has sheerer, more medium coverage when quickly blended out with a fingertip or a brush, but it can have full coverage applied with a second layer or applied directly with a brush (e.g. as eyeliner).

The consistency was like a lightweight mousse, not runny, but easily spreadable without becoming patchy--even with the darkest, near-black shade. It dried down completely, though I had enough time to work one eye at a time without feeling like I had to run a blending marathon to do so. It was particularly budge-proof, though, and it was key to apply thin, even layers as building too much product did lead to flaking (like more than two layers).

I found the shades to be more pigmented from the get-go, so it was not necessarily to do a full second layer to achieve full opacity. My recommendation would be to use a flat, synthetic brush to apply the liquid eyeshadow onto the lid/lash line for higher coverage. I also liked giving it a second or two to "dry" slightly before doing so. If you want to use them more as a wash of color (sheer to medium), then applying a pat or two of product from the doe-foot applicator and using a fluffy, synthetic brush or a fingertip to diffuse worked a treat.

I noticed that the finish was smoother, higher-shine, and more metallic in its sheen when worn at higher coverage, while when diffused and really blended out, it was visibly sparkly. It made it more versatile in its finish as a result.

Bianca

Lisa Eldridge Bianca Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow ($27.00 for 0.09 oz.) is a light pink with very warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The sparkles in the finish were more noticeable when the product was applied and blended out, particularly when worn at sheerer coverage. I did find that gently rubbing my fingertip across the dried-down layer brought some more sparkles forth, even at higher opacity.

The texture was lightweight, spreadable, and mousse-like with good glide without sheering out too readily, so while achieving a sheerer wash of color was easily achieved by diffusing with a fingertip (and putting a pat or two of product to start with), using it at full coverage was easily doable, too. It lasted well for 10 hours without fading or creasing on me.

I am really enjoying these and am considering picking up a second Bianca because I really like the silvery taupe I get when I mix like four parts Bianca with one part Liza. But these do dry down fairly quickly so I’d like to mix it in the little bottle and have the taupe shade permanently, rather than rushing to do it quickly on the back of my hand or on the eye each time.
