Leslie Blodgett Perfume Diaries Launches

Temptalia has teamed up with Sephora to help promote Leslie Blodgett Perfume Diaries! Leslie Blodgett is the founder of cult-favorite brand Bare Escentuals, and Perfume Diaries is her first fragrance launch. The fragrance series consists of scents inspired by Leslie’s travels around the world. The first scent is Bare Skin, which was created to evoke memories of being on the beach.

To kick off the launch, Sephora wants you to create your own digital “perfume diaries,” for their contest. Just head over to Leslie Blodgett Perfume Diaries on Facebook for more details.

Here’s mine:

It’s bright, sunny, and there is just a few clouds breezing by in the sky. The sun is beating down, while the waves are crashing at my feet. I can feel the cool, gritty sand between my toes. There’s a soft, sweet scent of coconuts with a delectable mix of something just perfectly tropical wafting by. I hear nothing but the sounds of the water rolling in and out as it has done for day in and day out. This moment is about relaxation with none of the pressures of daily life able to intrude.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! No offense to Leslie Blodgett, but this doesn’t seem like a great idea for a perfume. Who wants to smell like someone else’s vacation, esp. Leslie Blodgett’s?

Sephora has a good idea to ask customers to make up their own vacation memories, but I don’t get the marketing genius behind the product. Maybe there’s a huge Leslie Blodgett fan-dom out there, somewhere… but I see this is Sephora’s discount page in 6 months. Thanks for the review–love your blog Temptalia! Glad you are feeling better!

Ooh that’s a good one, Christine. You just evoked my time at North Shore in Oahu. I’d probably write my memories of my two favorite places (so far) Paris and Barcelona!

I received a sample of Leslie Blodgett’s new perfume when I attended her MasterClass event last month. I usually don’t stray outside of my all-time fave, Estee Lauder Beautiful, but will certainly give this one a chance.

this isn’t Leslie’s first fragrance, when BE first started they had a whole line of fragrances and bath&body products that were simply AMAZING. Search bare escentuals on ebay and look for fragrances and bath&body – you’ll see black dress, escentual and all kinds of other fragrances. At BE outlets you can still get a hold of just about the whole line!

YES! B.E. had a wonderful fragrance line, as well as bath and body products. I wish they would bring those lines back. My Fav. perfume/ lotion was White Lily and my fav. body wash was Pikake.

RE: Bare Skin: Leslie’s note that comes with the perfume is confusing- there is nothing beachy about this fragrance! It is a nice sultry scent, but not something I would wear or purchase myself.
