Le Metier de Beaute Lapis Eyeshadow

Le Metier de Beaute Lapis Eyeshadow

Le Metier de Beaute Lapis Eyeshadow ($30.00 for 0.13 oz.) is is a medium-dark blue with a frosted finish. I love it as an eyeliner, because it has enough vibrancy to add some oomph, but it’s not too bright, so it doesn’t come off harsh.  Urban Decay Goddess is darker, while MAC Deep Truth is darker with a blacker base. Inglot #428 is similar but a touch darker, as is Make Up For Ever #308.

It has a soft texture that applies pretty smoothly across the skin. It’s dense and the color payoff is nice, though it does sheer out a little easily. It’s good, but it’s not the best Le Metier de Beaute shade I’ve tried (in terms of texture).  It does apply nearly the same whether you use it dry or damp, which is convenient, because you can forego the extra step of dampening your brush and still achieve the same intensity and color.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

It is a lovely blue, a little bit lighter even than Adore, and it seems a little more shimmery to me. I’m on the fence about trying LMdB’s shadows….they are gorgeous but are they really worth the price tag?

I feel for the amount I’d be getting, if I absolutely LOVED a shade, I’d invest in one of these. They rarely seem to have texture issues and there are a few colors I’d use to the pan.
