Laura Mercier Bright & Burst High Vibe Lip Colors Reviews & Swatches
Bright
Laura Mercier Bright High Vibe Lip Color ($32.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light, pinky-red with cooler undertones and a satin finish and faint pearl. It seemed slightly less creamy compared to other shades in the line.
- Opaque pigmentation in one layer
- Creamy, moderately emollient, lightweight
- Applied evenly and didn’t emphasize lip texture

Formula Overview
$32.00/0.05 oz. - $640.00 Per Ounce
The formula is described as having "vivid" color in "one effortless stroke" with "comfortable" wear for six hours. It had a smooth, creamy consistency that was lightweight, moderately emollient, and comfortable to apply and to wear. The formula delivered mostly opaque to full color coverage in one layer, as marketed, though six-hour wear was the aspect it didn't live up to.
It felt like a typical, creamy lipstick formula (I don't say that in a bad way!) so it not lasting six hours wasn't a surprise, but most shades wore well for four hours and were moisturizing while worn. The lipstick applied evenly for the most part, had a more luminous finish (both shine and pearl), and wore for four hours in most cases. The formula felt hydrating while worn.
The biggest downside was the slim packaging only accommodated 0.05 oz. of product, whereas traditional lipsticks contain around 0.10 oz. on average.

Burst
Laura Mercier Burst High Vibe Lip Color ($32.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a very decadent, deep rusty-red with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. This shade had less pearl compared to most shades in the range, but there was still a bit of it.

These lipsticks are much better quality than the last couple you reviewed. Burst is a beautiful shade and one that I love – I do have a few dupes for it though – Shiseido’s Scarlett Rush.
Burst looks heavenly! It’s exactly my sort of red for when I want to go very dark glam. Yes, I fully agree about it being decadent!
(Would look AMAZING with the Give Me Glow blush reviewed just before it!)
I love the look of these LM lipsticks, especially the Bright for summer! I’ll be testing them at the mall soon —
“Bright” is on fire! And the perfect red for me! I don’t need another red, BUT I will keep it in mind if ever I need to restock (and it’s still available).
