The Revlon ColorBurst balms (especially the mattes…even more specifically, the red one…) as well as the Kate by Rimmel lipsticks! They’re so amazingly pigmented and feel so comfortable on. I have shades 10 & 11, and I. Especially love 11.

Maybelline Master Hi-Lighter Blushes! I love my Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight, but these are just as creamy, smooth, & intense, but 1/5 the price (less, if you catch a sale!), and with 6 different shades, are more universal.

I enjoy so many drugstore products, so I’m going to try and think of this more in terms of product lines that I had to go and get several shades of, because I loved the formula. I would say it’s a tie between the Almay liquid lip balms and Rimmel Show-Offs.

The most recent one was Jordana Twist & Shine Moisturizing Balm Stain in Terra Crave ($2.99 at CherryCulture.com). It’s somewhat similar to Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle but pinker. It’s my current favorite my lips but better shade that lasts a good while because it leaves a stain behind.

I just got mine a few weeks ago but I think I may have to order more already, considering the rate I’m using it. Thankfully it’s really affordable, even if it’s not available in stores in Australia. 😀

Loreal one sweep eyeshadow in playful, all eye colors. This is probably not one for the rest of you, but I don’t understand how to apply eyeshadow so this product makes my eyes look the best they ever have. This is one of the darkest shades, which you need because the product doesn’t transfer much pigment. I know, such an old product but I just discovered it.

Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Normal/Dry skin. It’s the first drug store foundation I’ve ever used, so I was very skeptical about trying it, but I absolutely love it! I have super dry skin, and I live in a dry climate, and every foundation I’ve ever tried accentuates dry spots. However this doesn’t, I’ve been really impressed! I was glad to see it at the number one spot for 2013 best liquid foundation!

Maybeline Fit Me Stick foundation! I bought it in July because both of my normal foundations were too light after a trip to the beach, and I have actually since bought a lighter colored one that works most of the time. I like the ease of use, it gives my skin a natural finish. It doesn’t last all that long, but it does well enough for as easy as it is to apply.

Cake Beauty’s Inca Oil Shower Oil and Rejuvenating Oil Spray. I got both full sized bottles in a set after Xmas for less than the price of either item on its own! So while Cake Beauty isn’t a “bargain brand”, this was a bargain purchase (I don’t usually luck into those).

My latest Fyrinnae haul, especially Peppermint Vodka and Sled Puppies loose shadows. Have my eye on the Revlon gloss too Christine hope it comes to UK!

The Maybelline Vivids (gorg colours) and Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer (didn’t get in the lines around my eyes which even bobbi brown concealer does).

Coconut oil. With a $5 jar, I made a sugar scrub for a great moisturizing shower, plus I am using it as a hand and foot moisturizer during this dry winter, and it is the best ends conditioner ever made (but use just a dab!).

NYX Round lipsticks! I love the formula and for $4 a pop, I don’t feel guilty buying a few colors. It’s an even better deal when Ulta has buy one get one 50% off and I have a $3.50 off $10 coupon.

real technics by samantha chapman brushes – the core set 4 brushes and a case-stand for 18$ here in Canada, love them, surprisingly good brushes:) they look cheap^ they are cheap, but they work! I was amazed!

Janelle Avatar

I am currently in love with the Jane pressed powder that has all the colors in it similar to my guerlain–I definitely would not call it a dupe, but it is good to keep in my desk at work!

Ivana Avatar

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, I love it! And Maybelline´s Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe, lovely on the eyes and I can even contour with it on my fair skin

As someone who’s totally broke, I make do with mostly drugstore stuff. Luckily many drugstore brand have totally stepped up their game and are sometimes comparable to mid-range brands!

My favorites right now are:

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters – The consistency is so so nice!
Revlon Colorburst Lip Lacquer Balms – Again, good consistency and glossy and nearly opaque yay!
Maybelline Vivids – I have every single one! I hope they make some more! *greedy*
Rimmel Kate Lipsticks – 109 and 110 are my jams! A bit drying, but good matte formula!

The new Rimmel Stay Matte liquid mousse foundation and Stay Matte powder. I have oily skin and this keeps my face shine-free and beautifully matte.

Jennifer Avatar

Wet and wild lipstick in black orchid. It’s a nice vampy shade that was pigmented, didn’t feather, long wearing and only a dollar!

Patti Sp Avatar

The Jordana 12hr liquid eyeliner pencils! So pigmented, smooth and last all day. I may even like them more than UD pencils. I think i payed like 3$ for them !

Rachel B Avatar

Essence nail polish. The formulas are great, coverage is in two coats, there is slight shimmer in a lot of them, and the cap does this cool click-into-place thing when it’s all the way closed.

Angi Smith Avatar

Aquaphor Healing Ointment Advanced Therapy for dry, cracked, or irritated skin – sold in a small tube and used on my lips as a balm…. no more winter lips!

Vanessa V Avatar

Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadows in Earthly Taupe, Tastefully Taupe and Silken Taupe. I’ve been using them for a natural everyday look not bad pigmentation or wear for eyeshadows that cosr 6.50 each

My bargain beauty product is less than a dollar, the Avon Strawberry Flavor Savers Lip Balm/Gloss.
It’s very lightly tinted, smells great, moisturizes for a while and looks glossy on.
My boyfriend actually asked me for a second kiss so he could taste/smell the balm, I ended up leaving him my balm and I’m ordering a couple more along with NYX and Palladio balms!

Jordana 12 hr Made to Last Liquid Eyeliner Pencil in Jade Jewel and Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Violet Intrigue. The lipstick is LE, and I recently picked it up on a whim. I am so glad I did. I have been wearing the heck out of this shade. I absolutely love it! The Jordana eye pencils are so creamy and glide on so well that I personally think they give UD a run for their money. Jade Jewel just happens to be my favorite shade, but I love them all!

Patti Dubroff colored twist up lip balms. Costco sells them but was sold out so I got them on Amazon. They come in a pack of four four about $20 and are so moisturizing, which most things are not for me. They don’t have a lot of color but are perfect for a natural look, under lipstick or over a lip pencil. I carry one in my coat pocket. Truly a find.

I’ve been a B***h of a makeup snob my whole life, and I used to be the Area Sales Manager of the Cosmetics dept in a store like Nordstoms. I thought drugstore brands were sooooo beneath me. My last splurge was Bobbie Brown’s Stick Foundation, Corrector, Concealer and powder. Set me back $150 and I didn’t bat an eye. But I just wasn’t able to make it “work” as well as the sales rep, once I started applying myself. And it really settled into the fine lines under my eyes. Did I forget to mention I am 59 with still beautiful skin minus all the injectibles?
Then I discovered this whole world of makeup dupes, and with my broad overall knowledge of ingredients, colors, etc, I chose L’Oreal Magic Nude Foundation and Revlon’s 24 Hr Colorstay Foundation, and Maybelline’s Blackest Black Gel Eyeliner. The foundations are FABULOUS! Th eyeliner stays PUT. Oh yeah….I am humbled for sure and looking forward to reviewing many fabulous Dupes In The Drugstores.
