Lancome's Oscillation Mascara - Available One Day Only

Several weeks ago, I told you all about the upcoming trend of movin’ mascaras from Estee Lauder’s TurboLash to Lancome’s Oscillation. So in that spirit, while Lancome’s isn’t officially due out until winter, you can get it for one day only — tomorrow, July 31st, at the following locations…

  • Online: www.lancome-usa.com, and www.sephora.com
  • Atlanta: Macy’s at the Lenox Square Mall
  • Brea: The Lancome Boutique at the Brea Mall
  • Costa Mesa: Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza
  • Chicago: Macy’s on State Street and Bon-Ton at the Yorktown Mall
  • Dallas: Dillard’s and the Lancome Boutique at NorthPark Center
  • Houston: Neiman Marcus at the Galleria
  • Miami: Macy’s at the Dadeland Mall
  • Manhattan: Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale’s 59th Street, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s Herald Square and the Lancome boutique on Columbus Avenue
  • San Francisco: Macy’s Union Square
  • Santa Clara: The Lancome Boutique at the Valley Fair Mall
  • Short Hills: The Lancome Boutique at the Short Hills Mall

Are you intrigued by this mascara? Will you run out to get yours?

I think I might pick one up, since the Lancome Boutique is right across the way from MAC (where I’mfinally getting my Starflash/Lustretwins stuff!).

I’ll pass for now. On a related note, I saw some oscillating mascara at Claire’s over the weekend. You could either use the enclosed mascara, or use the wand with the mascara of your choice. I think something like that would be the best… you get the best of both worlds, I guess. I won’t be finding out anytime soon, though.

I think I will pass – I just can’t bring myself to spend that much on mascara (I’m a Great Lash kind of girl). The most fangdangled eyelash thing I ever bought is the Sephora Heated eyelash curler.

I caved in and ordered it as an early b-day present for myself. About a month ago I saw some pictures from the launch event for it in Paris and I thought the results were great. There was a guy testing it so you could definitely see the difference between his two eyes (one with the mascara and one without)and it was gorgeous on the female model who was wearing little other makeup. I figure if I don’t like it, I can always return it anyway.

Bought it Nordstrom (tried Sephora.com but they were sold out before their Beauty Insider hit my inbox!). Anyway, I’m glad I got to see someone show me how to use it. If you let it do the work, and just gently pull it out from your lash roots, I have to say it really is spectacular. I just can’t get a mascara to do that. So wish me luck when I’m on my own tomorrow getting ready for work. Coffee comes second – don’t need shaky hands

My friend bought it and said it wasn’t that great, actually.. I can’t wait to go to her house and try it!!
On another note, I have to say I religiously use DiorShow. That is my number one. BUT!! I found something to supplement!! It’s Givenchy’s new one. I forgot what it’s called but it’s a spherical wand. I LOVE IT!! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! It gets ALL the little lashes in the ends of my lashline and it makes them look so much fuller!!!
Check it out!!

Annie, tell your friend to give it another try. I have it and it takes a few times to get the hang of it. Like MimiBee said above, your friend should gently pull from lash to roots. Tell her to go really slow. It’s like Zen mascara. And let her know not to redip. There’s plenty of product on the wand once you open it.

Okay so.. update.. I LOVE IT! My friend is actually clumsy, corky, and can’t do makeup to save her life. However, it is actually a great mascara!

I own a tube of this mascara. I think it is wonderful. Luckily, I was blessed with longer lashes. Yet, using this mascara makes them fall into a more full and stretched effect. I wasn’t for the price at first, but I purchased mine with a kit.
