I got the Urban Ballet Baume in Love yesterday and it’s gorgeous. It’s sheer of course but it’s just right because it’s neon pink, so it just ends up being a really flattering shade of bright pink. I like the feel of the balm too.

She’s the current “face” of Lancôme; they usually have only one spokesmodel who does most of their promo work. She’s very young, so she’ll likely be around for a while, if the amount of time they kept Isabela Rosellini is any indication (incidentally, they eventually “fired” her because they wanted to appeal to a younger market, and felt she was too old…).

I really don’t need to spend $25 on a balm but I’m craving that light pink ‘Baume in Love’ to accompany my light pink ‘Rouge in Love’ lipstick. They are so cute!

I blushes are drawing me in. If you get a hold of these I’d love to see your review! The great eyeliner looks beautiful on her!

The blush is a larger pan (I checked at work, I thought it was 8.5g for this, as opposed to 5g for he regular blushes, which run $30, although google is telling me the regular ones are 4g, but regardless…) , meaning yes, you are paying more, but you are also getting more product. 🙂 plus the little mirror slides out of the packaging if you want a little compact mirror for your purse. Silly detail but cute nonetheless!

Most of the colors in this collection don’t appeal to me, but I’m kind of curious what she’s wearing on her lips…anyone know?

Dominique Avatar

I like the blush but this a ” budget ” collection on the whole, just perfect for young women ( Emma Watson ) who want to buy their first makeup products.

Oh psh there always are ways to work around it! I think a lot of the colors would look great! This is coming from an Asian (though very fair with neutral tones) living in Hawaii with lots of darker and more yellow toned Asians.

Many skintones are excluded here; then again, it’s the typical nature of most Spring collections, which is why they never appeal to me.

I agree with Carina–I don’t usually EVER get excited over Lancome but this collection is just so fresh and bright and pretty! LOVE that Peche Joue-Joue blush! That will DEFINITELY be mine! The liners are really pretty too but I’m afraid that since it’s a kohl formula and doesn’t specify being waterproof, it won’t last on my eyes

Adrienne Avatar

These are different from their usual kohl pencils, and are DIVINE. Super smooth and long lasting, they go on soft (very soft -caution when sharpening!) but set down to stay. I put the blue over a liner I had on already, and it practically lasted thru my shower that night! If you want to test them, swatch one on your hand, walk around a minute or two, then ty smudging it. They apply almost like gel eyeliners!

The past 3 springs Lancôme has been pulling at my heart strings! Though thank goodness this year, I’m not falling head over heels for everything since I prefer pastels<33 Can't wait to search Rose in Love and Evermore Lilac!

Loving all the products-prices are very high-tempting though.
Hoping that Loreal will come out w/similar colors & products this spring-isn’t this line the lower price-sister company of Lancome??

xamyx Avatar

The only things that appeal to me are the Kohl pencils, but $25.50 for such basic shades is a bit much. The green is really pretty, but I have a feeling we’re going to be seeing *alot* of that shade this year, so I’ll wait unti something less expensive comes along, although I really do like the formula.

I’m obsessed with eyebrows and I can’t decide if I like Emma’s eyebrows here… part of me thinks they’re too straight and another part thinks they look nice!

Carina Avatar

Whoa, I wouldn’t have noticed until you pointed them out. I was too distracted by the pretty colors, heh. I’ve decided that I really like that they’re different than usual!

Hayley Avatar

I have the Blume in love in the shade 120and it’s called peach melodie. I wonder why the name are different in this btw I am from england

Paula Avatar

The blush on is pretty, but as for the rest….. very unsuitable for working women. Thats a pity because its working women who have more money rather than the younger ones.

Lauren L. Avatar

I adore Emma in this campaign. I just love how she looks. I think she looks refreshing and sweet but at the same time I see a woman in her 20’s, not a teenager. I can however, see how some may think that it is too young for them. I just recently ordered:

– Baume in Love in Urban Ballet
– Blush in Love in Pommettes D’Amour
– Kohl in Love in Jade Crush
– Color Design Infinite 24H in Tremendous Turquoise

I liked the pink but it was integral to recreating the look for me and I think that I could find a dupe for the pink. It may be something I pick up later but I’ve spent enough for now (thank goodness for Christmas gift cards to help fund my makeup obsession!).

Does anyone have any suggestions of another moisturizing sheer lip product like Lancome’s Baume in Love? I wear more glosses than anything. In fact, I think I only have glosses right now since I tend to go for a natural or a no makeup-makeup look and like my lips to be sheer.

– Lauren 🙂
