Lancome Auda[city] in Paris Eyeshadow Palette
Trying not to get too excited, since the last prettily packaged Paris-themed release was not the best quality. But I do have a weakness for anything with the Eiffel Tower on it.
I totally know what you mean. I bought the last one because it was too pretty to resist, but the quality was definitely lacking. I’m drawn to these colours and the packaging, but I have a feeling it’s going to perform like the last palette did. Lisa Eldridge may have come up with the colour scheme, but the eyeshadow formula is still Lancome’s. Here’s to hoping, though!
The Lancome eyeshadow formula I fell in love with hasn’t existed for about 15 years… If we could have these shades, with the old formula, it’d be makeup heaven… From what I can tell, just from swatching occasionally at Sephora, the formula has gone through additional changes, and not for the better. I haven’t purchased any Lancome products in about 5-6 years.
Wow. What a pretty palette.
Oh my, this is soooo pretty! I cannot wait to get my hands on it!
Will you review it?
Ohhh so many colors! And great fall colors!
Possibly strange question, but do these have a scent to them? I tend to avoid Lancome because most of their products are so heavily perfumed (to me anyway), but these colors are so pretty!
I’ve never noticed any scent in the eyeshadows, but I can see where some of the products could be offensive.
Thanks!
I hadn’t bought anything from Lancome in years but I bought this as soon as it was available yesterday. It contains all my colors!
What do you think of it? Is it pigmented?
I NEED this. Anything Lisa Eldridge touches turns to gold! <3
Pretty!!
Hi Christine , will you be doing a review of this ? We won’t have it available in the Ireland/UK till October but I’d be really interested to see how it performs 🙂
This is gorgeous! I sure hope you get to review it. Christine if this comment goes through three times, ignore two. I have been getting an error saying that the website connected to the internet but there is some sort of security error.
I can’t wait for you to review this! It looks beautiful and I see lots of videos on Lamcomes channel for this so I know they are trying to make it appealing. Thanks for posting Christine!
L’Oreal owns Lancome, and L’Oreal came out with a 10 pan shadow palette, interesting how Lancome is coming out with a 16 pan one. I’ve only swatched Lancome shadows in store but never bought (seem very glittery) but these look more matte/shimmer, hope they perform well. Curious to see how similar they are to the L’Oreal ones
There’s a lot more cross-over than people realize, LOL! Many of the foundation formulas are identical, as well as lip products! I just hope L’Oréal decides to do a version of the contour sticks, LOL! I also find many of the L’Oréal eyeshadows to be far superior to Lancome, although I have yet to try the new 10-pan palettes (my experience with the palettes/quads is hit & miss, although I *love* the singles!).
Yep, and L’Oreal owns UD now too. And their quality in eyeshadows has been all over the place ever since they were taken over by L’Oreal.
L’oreal also owns Giorgio Armani and YSL cosmetics, and yes there is definitely cross-over among products (makes sense that they would maximize their R&D). They do tend to cut costs ingredient wise in the lower-end products, but some are remarkably similar, like mascaras!
Gorgeous colors, but there’s something really not glamorous about that packaging…
With Lisa Eldridge in charge I’m sure this palette is amazing.
This looks promising, but I’m going to wait for the review. If the colors are pigmented, adhere and blend well I’ll be buying it.
The palette packing is indeed pretty but the shades look so dupeable. But we shall see with the swatches.
I am so excited for this it looks so beautiful, will you be reviewing it?
Love the concept but not a huge fan of enough of the colors to consider it.
Looks beautiful!
I haven’t purchased anything Lancome since I worked on one of their counters years ago, however the colors in this palette are right up my alley. I will need to swatch next time I am near a counter.
Pretty colors but a bit pricey.
I am reeeally interested in seeing how this one swatches, and most importantly, PERFORMS. The colors look fantastic, but I am keeping it in mind that another L’Oreal owned company just did a similar smokey themed palette that isn’t quite up to pre-L’Oreal-owned quality. ( not the worst, but def not a 1 or 2, if you know what I mean)
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. They also discontinue products when they acquire a company that I like and it just irks me. They also jack up the prices. I remember the first foundations that UD had. They were great, and 16 bucks. The eye shadows in the palettes seem to be hit and miss. When they were 9 bucks they were all amazing, especially the original Pot Holes.
So true! And now they also own Nyx, and the prices are definitely creeping upwards just like UD. The quality, again inconsistent. Not that Nyx was ever 100% consistent, but still. I guess my bisquits are burnt because they took over 2 of my favorite brands!
Something about the pan layout bothers me. Like they could have fit another color in the second row, or should have made the palette a different shape to accommodate them all in the same orientation.
Regardless, excited to see a review because the colors look amazing.
I love the colors, but like a lot of us, I’m not expecting the quality to be there.
I’m not sure why my profile pic isn’t showing up in my posts today.
Wow, that looks gorgeous! I’m dying for a review now 🙂
The colors are gorgeous– I love the look of this palette. I hope it performs well!
The colors look great, but, I’m waiting for reviews.
I really like the packaging – classy! And I do like the way the shadows are placed. Very nice!
It’s gorgeous – I really hope it’s a good palette! Keeping fingers crossed!
If the quality is there, I’d buy this in a heartbeat. Like so many others though, I found Lancôme’s eye shadow quality seriously lacking in recent years. Please review Christine!
Wonderful, amazing, very pretty!!
I would love to read a comparison post of this palette and Laura Mercier’s Artist’s Palette for Eyes. I know they’re not terribly similar, but I think I can only shell out for one of them!
It looks absolutely fantastic! Cannot wait for the reviews. Gorgeous colours.
That looks so pretty and I’m a sucker for anything French, but I’ll wait for reviews since many of you say Lancome shadows are nothing to write home about. For that price, I expect quality.
If these do well, I’m going to haul this.
I haven’t bought any Lancôme eyeshadows in YEARS, although it used to be my IT brand when I was a teenager (I’m now 31, a month from 32!) This has me intrigued though, because the colors are perfect (in the pan at least!). If you review it and it does decently well, I will most likely purchase this!
I’m definitely eager to see how this palette turns out since Lisa Eldridge was saying on IG last night that this is her first “shade work” with Lancôme. I have high hopes!
It looks good, but I’ll wait for reviews. I’ll also like to do a real swatch-fest when it comes to palettes after having bought some less than exciting ones in the past.
I do hope you’ll get to review this one, Christine.
Oooh.. I don’t know, I don’t know.. !! 🙁
It looks nice.. colors look like one could hit pan on most being extra versatile and perfect to work with more colorful / textured looks but.. mmh.. I can smell gimmick somehow >.<
I’ve never purchased anything by Lancôme and it isn’t a brand I gravitate towards or have on my “must try something from them” list either, but this palette with the packacing and colours looks amazing. I hope the pigmentation and blendability are good on it.
