JD Glow Ruby, Macaroon, AKA, Sin, Pressed, Oh Honey Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches
Ruby
JD Glow Ruby Metallon Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a medium-dark red with moderate, warm undertones and a smooth, metallic sheen. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, creamy consistency that was moderately dense but not overly thick or too firmly-pressed into the pan, so it was easy to pick up and apply to bare skin. It lasted well for eight hours before creasing faintly on me.

Formula Overview
$7.50/0.095 oz. - $78.95 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" with a "built in primer." The texture was creamier, smooth, and more emollient without being too thick or too firmly pressed into the pan, so while it was denser and not at all powdery, I had no trouble picking up product with a dry brush. Using a wet brush or fingertip to apply helped to minimize slight to light fallout that was more typical with dry brush application.
The pigmentation was semi-opaque to opaque with good adhesion to bare skin, and the powders blended out well along the edges. Some of the more sparkly shades had light fallout when blended or the sparkles dispersed a bit more readily, so precision placement was harder. They wore between eight and nine hours on me before fading or lightly creasing.
The one thing to note, though, is that they had a heavy, sweet, fruity scent that I could detect periodically through the day. The empty palette I placed all of the eyeshadows in practically bursts with scent when I open.

Macaroon
JD Glow Macaroon Shimmer Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) has a more faded, reddish-base with warmer undertones and flecks of larger gold and copper sparkle. There was moderate fallout with this shade, and I felt like some of the nuance got lost as a result, so I’d recommend applying this shade with a dampened brush and/or adhesive spray to help the sparkles bind with the base product.
The texture wasn’t as smooth compared to most shades I’ve tried from the brand, though it still yielded opaque coverage. It stayed on decently for eight hours before fading but had continued fallout over time.

Oh Honey
JD Glow Oh Honey Metallon Shadow ($7.50 for 0.095 oz.) is a deep, molten gold with strong, warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. The eyeshadow had rich pigmentation that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out with ease, but a little went a long way so use a lighter hand when working with this shade! The texture was smooth, almost cream-like but easy to pick up with a dry brush and had good adhesion to my lid. It wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

What beautiful eyeshadows these are – all of them really good quality (apart from Macaroon). I liked Ruby and Pressed the best.
JD Glow shadows are so lovely and HUGE. I picked up four this summer and their sparkle and reflectivity is impressive. I’m happy to see these shades rated overall well too! I’ll definitely order from them again.
Sin is a magnificent shade of pink! It and Macaroon could tempt me to don a truly pink eye look, something I don’t often do.
Oh Honey and Pressed are stunning, too. But I feel like I have plenty of dupes for those shades.
Thank you for reviewing more JD Glow shadows! I’ve been interested in that brand.
