We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! BITE only does lipsticks/glosses, and IMO they do it so well, it’s really hard to go wrong. In the years I’ve been watching them, the only major mis-steps were the Watercolors pastel gloss set from last year (which I didn’t buy) and the original Jan 001 shade. And I was super-impressed with the way they handled that -they re-formulated 001, and sent a free one to every customer without asking, really shows this company cares. Super pigmented, great colors, great formulas, reasonably priced for the high quality. And I really looked forward to all of the monthly Lip Lab releases, some great colors there. I probably have 15 lippies from them and love every one, never disappointed. My faves – Barberry (from Frozen Berries collection), Shiraz (MLBB Dusty Pink), BITE Opal, Nov shade 011, etc. For best value, grab their holiday lip sets.

I would suggest stocking up on Bite’s mini offerings at the Holiday’s if you want to pump up your stash and don’t mind minis. I discovered Bite that way and they seem to be the same thing as the full size.
I’m totally crushing on Bordeux and Burgundy in the Cashmere formula. I have not tried that and those look gorgeous! I may need that in my life soon!

Hi, Christine!

Pepper is MLBB shade and it’s pretty! I got mine from the Bite Beauty Deluxe Gift Set Last year and I’m already planning on repurchasing once I ran out. I love the formula so much, but the extra shipping internationally is setting me back (I live in Japan) so I’m already looking for an alternative.

It’s actually kind of embarrassing, but I have yet to get my hands on Mac lipsticks. How do you compare the Bite Beauty Lipstick formula to Mac’s? Which do you prefer? Mac is easier to buy here for obvious reasons but would really only buy something from them if the lipsticks are as comfortable as Bite Beauty’s (or better?)

I love Bite Beauty, I have a few products and they are among the best of my collection!
The Agave Lip Mask is a must have to me, it’s one of the only lip balm that actually heal my cracked lips in one night (my lips get dehydrated super fast with every lip products I wear).
Then my favorite lipsticks are Quince and shade 002 of February 2015. I also really like the Butter Cream Lipstick in Rosewood, it is so confortable to wear.
Only downside is that they don’t retail in Europe and now that I have move back in France, I will have to find other way to get my “fix” ^^.
Thanks so much for this article Christine, I will be able to expand my Bite wishlist!

I never see Grenache talked about but I think it’s a beautiful and unique color. It’s a midtone pink with a touch of lavender and it’s perfect for Spring. It’s a lip creme.

I really love Fig lipstick. Perfect shade to wear to the office, smells and tastes good. Will probably pick up Pastille in a few weeks as it looks work-appropriate too.

They have a Discovery kit that has several Bite Beauty popular products to give you a sampling, including a lipstick, lip crayon and some others. I think this is a perfect way to try out the brand. I absolutely LOVE Bite Beauty!

Tannin, palomino, pomegranate, mimosa, juniper, Aubergine, take advantage of the mini double ended lippies and the mini lip tins with multiple lipsticks in them. I have been able to get so many of Bites lipsticks that way. I did love tannin so much I bought the full size one this Christmas after using the mini one. So many compliments on that color. Their lipsticks are really awesome. I actually think they perform better than my Tom Ford’s in they don’t bleed like my TF’s do. (I rarely wear lip liners or primers). Colors are gorgeous and the line is amazing. The lip masks are wonderful too.
