Illamasqua Radium Nail Varnish Review, Photos, Swatches
Illamasqua Radium Nail Varnish
Illamasqua Toxic Nature Collection: Radium
Illamasqua Radium Nail Varnish (£13.50 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is described as an “acidic lime, shimmer finish” shade, which is new for the Toxic Nature collection. It’s a beautiful neon chartreuse green with yellow undertones and iridescent green and chartreuse micro-shimmer. Though currently only available through Illamasqua directly, it should make its way to Sephora next month.
my thoughts on the formula: Illamasqua’s formula is richly pigmented, smooth, and easy to apply. It’s a thicker formula but not gloppy. I did notice very slight brush strokes in the finish under really bright light. Radium is almost opaque in one coat, though I swatched with two for good measure. I get a full week of wear with Illamasqua Nail Varnishes with minimal tip wear and no chips.

i am in love!!!! i have to get this color!!! i adore Illamasqua nail polishes and this seems like a perfect bright color for summer!!!! Sooo mine!!!
This is now on my list of things I have to get my hands on!
Oooh..bright..like it on your nails…doubt itll look that good on mine..
I thought that i would be hating such colour but it looks strangely gorgeous..maybe because the iridiscent glow adds much to it.
Oh I WANT! I just never spend that much on polish 🙁 I’m a CG/OPI girl
Both Shrek & Serena Williams for OPI are suppose to come close
I really like it! but seems like a color difficult to pull off!
Is this a recent release? I should think it is pretty insensitive to come out with a colour called Radium so close after Japan’s disasters.
This was released a few weeks prior, but more importantly, launches are planned months, even a year or longer, out!
Radium is an element and a city. Japan’s nuclear disasters are with radioactive iodine and plutonium. I don’t think it’s insensitive whatsoever…
2nd, the word “Radium” has absolutely nothing to do with Japan…at all. I have no idea how some people take everything so sensitively.
It’s just a nail polish color name….
That is hot. I’m going to have to stop biting my nails for this!
That’s really toxic! It’s pretty, but I’m not into green-yellow nail polish.I prefer the Gammma Neon Orange.
Just like me! i already have Gamma, i think its more flattering 🙂
That’s one beautiful baby… I wish it were mine <3
I usually don’t like neons and brights for nail polish, but for some reason this is really working for me! It’s surprisingly flattering for a chartreuse, too, since I often think these yellow-green colors make one’s skin look dingy. I think it’s that shimmer finish that really does it for me 🙂
As soon as I saw it I thought of Mitzi, but I don’t know which one I like better! I wish I knew someone who was into these sorts of shades so I could talk them into buying it and then try it out ^.^
I want this to wear under Black Mesh
Mmm!
What a gorgeous colour. I’m more of a pink/red/coral nailpolish kind of girl but I love chartreuse so I will probably get this colour.
Very Wicked, I love it!
This is on my “must have” list. I bought a cheap dupe to make due until it arrives at Sephora.
that’s funny – i have a thing for chartreuse too – and this is awesome, might have to get it!
OMG I love this color…it will look awesome with a tan!!!!!!!!! Bring on summer!
woah pretty *__* I love that color, especially with that microshimmer
I can’t wait to pick this and Bacterium up in April. They will be my first Illamasqua purchase, and I am so excited. I am gonna rock so much acid green this summer, lol.
This is an awesome color. I remember either Hard Candy or Urban Decay had a similar color back in the 1990s which of course I loved. I will definitely be getting this!
Love this! I think this and Gamma may have to be my first Illamasqua polishes. Hurry up and get to Sephora already!
That is one fierce color, love it!
I swear I’ve been having dreams about this lipstick since I first saw it on the Illamasqua web site. Thank you for confirming everything I’d imagined about it! I do hope I can find a way to get this, since Sephora in Canada doesn’t carry Illamasqua and ordering from their web site is really costly!
Christine, if you ever have a daughter you should name her Chartreuse! Haha!
Haha!!
Wow it’s really similar to my Sally hansen green with envy polish!
Pretty! I really like Illamasqua polishes they’re so bright
I love this! I’ve been looking for a perfect chartreuse lately. I’m not sure how it will look on my NW20 skin but I still am brave enough to try 🙂 Any other chartreuse nail polish suggestions? Thanks Christine!
I love it but I can’t bring myself to spend that much for nail polish!
where can i purchase zoya nailpolish online?
zoya.com
I cannot WAIT until this hits Sephora, will be mine!
This question is directed to Christine, and anyone else living in the US who has ordered from http://www.illamasqua.com. How was the service, and how long did it take for them to get their merchandise? I’m always leery about ordering from little-know sites, especially from overseas.
I haven’t ordered from their website – only via Sephora.
I ordered this nail polish from the Illmasqua website. It took a couple of weeks to get here but I had no problems. Oh and I love love love the polish!
Just bought/wore this color for the first time and I love it!
I just LOVE Illmasqua!
