Illamasqua Morale Blush Review, Photos, Swatches

Illamasqua Morale Powder Blush

Illamasqua Morale Powder Blush ($27.00 for 0.14 oz.) is described as a “shimmering magenta pink.” It’s a cool-toned, medium pink with a frosted finish. NARS Gaiety is more matte. MAC Peony Petal is darker, less frosted. MAC I’m the One is darker, less frosted. See comparison swatches here.

The texture of Morale is very soft but, as a result, somewhat powdery.  Luckily, the powderiness did not translate on the skin as dry-looking or chalky.  The high frost content of the finish did emphasize the texture of the skin and pores.  Morale blends out beautifully on the skin and can be worn as a subtle pink or layered for a more intense look, as it is incredibly pigmented but still buildable and blendable, so a sheerer application is possible.  There was minor fading after eight hours of wear.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Gorgeous; but far too cool for my warm skin! Still haven’t fallen head over heels in love with Illamasqua’s blushes yet…

I am very interested in trying Illamasqua blushes after seeing reviews here on Temptalia. Possibly not this colour as I am kind of worried that my cheeks will end up looking red (pink cheeks and pink blush often equals super red face on me). But the blushes seems really nice and pigmented.

does the swatch remind anyone else of hard candy living doll? even with the veining in living doll i think that these 2 are almost identical in tone and finish when swatched/worn…im sure illamasqua’s blushes have much better staying power tho!
