Nastassia Leslie Avatar

I’d probably buy all the makeup brushes possible, then brush cleaners! Organisers as well. Then I’d spend the rest on high end makeup. 😉

Maria tovar Avatar

A beauty blender + cleanser, makeup forever HD foundation, nars smudgeproof backups, al lot of butter London nail polishes, guerlain meteorites in beige, so many things in my wishlist 🙁

Naomi Avatar

I’d buy the $319 worth of brushes from Hakuhodo that are sitting in my cart as well as Tom Ford’s Cream Foundation brush and Blush Brush (the two total to $150) and with the remaining $31, I’d get a NARS blush (possibly Liberte or Seduction).

Laura Avatar

Mostly skincare! Some Peter Thomas Roth, Ole Henrickson truth serum, then Urban Decay Naked Basics and Naked palettes, Stila In the Lights palette, Anastasia brow wiz, Mac lipstick in Plumful plus some others I’m sure, Mac 239 brush. I just ordered Nars Doucer ($29 for 1 blush, ouch!) but otherwise it would have been on this list.

Lauren Schroer Avatar

I would get all of the lipsticks on my neverending MAC lipstick wishlist (I sadly only own 2, my collection desperately needs to grow) and the Lorac Pro palette is which is currently at the top of my Sephora wishlist! Also the UD Revolution lipsticks. And I’d love to try Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation!

xamyx Avatar

Oddly enough, my current “must-haves” total this amount, LOL!

NARS eyeshadow duos:

Charade
Tokyo
Paris
Habanera
Silk Road
Mad, Mad World
Rated R
Fashion Rebel

NARS eyeshadow singles:

Fuji
Mangrove
Bombshell
Lola Lola
Fez
Outremer
Namibia
Euphrate
Baby Girl
Bavaria

This totals $512, but I have 10% off at Sephora, where most of this is available. I’d also try to sneak in Copacabana Multiple!

Judy Avatar

Geurlain Gigolo, Givenchy Rose Dressing, Burberry Peony Rose, Giorgio Armani The Red, a nice highlighter, 2 blushes (perhaps NARS), and the rest on a basic set of makeup brushes.

Katie Avatar

I would buy guerlain lingerie de peau, Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation, a couple of Giorgio Armani fluid sheers, chantecaille just skin, burberry peony rose, chanel les beiges, and Tom ford Spanish pink, just to name a few hahaha

Jillian Avatar

Oh man… so many things! I could easily spend $500 just on makeup brushes from Tanseido, Chikuhodo, Wayne Goss (when they release), Houkodou, and Hakuhodo.

As for makeup: About 5 Addiction Eyeshadow Singles ($150), Rouge Bunny Rouge Eyeshadow Singles in “Angelic Cockatiels” & “Fire-tailed Sunbird” ($60), Burberry Eyeshadow SIngles in “Porcelain” & “Midnight Brown” ($60), Chanel Les Beiges in #40 ($60), LMDB Shadow Single in “Corinthian”, Tom Ford lipstick in “Spanish Pink” ($50), Charlotte Tilbury’s Eyeshadow Quad in “Dolce Vita” ($60)… and I’d have just enough to send you a Le Rouge lipstick, lol!

Kenzie Avatar

Oh wow that would be amazing! I would most likely get a few more YSL Volupté Sheer Candy lipsticks, one or maybe two of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, the Guerlain Maxi Lash mascara, a Chanel blush, and that’s just off the top of my head. I would spend that $500 in no time at all!

Elise Avatar

Barry B Brush collection = $174, 4 Hourglass Refills of Muse, Raven, Icon, and something neutral = $96, $100 on foundation that actually works on my face (still trying to find my HG foundation that actually matches my face), Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer = $50, and $80 on indie brand products like Lumikki Cosmetics (bad service but great eyeshadows), Fryinnae (gotta have that primer), and etc

or 250 bucks at Sephora (Hourglass, MUFE, Chanel, and Dior), 100 bucks at Ulta (with using discounts), and 50 bucks at MAC (just lippies because their foundation breaks me out and their eyeshadows are overpriced)

or just in general spend 500 USD on gluten free cosmetics.

Nicoco Chanel Avatar

The new Urban Decay revolution lipsticks (I need quite a few of them), Urban Decay brow kit and powder foundation; Kat Von D Lock It powder, $50 for some shopping on Feelunique, and lastly I would use around $150 to get some beauty boxes from around the world.

– MAC brushes (300 $);

valentina Avatar

One part I would spend on the new Chanel Superstition collection. Especially on the creme blusher and the rouge coco lipstick. Another brand on which I would like to spend some more money is Benefit. On the wishlist I have as well the butter lipsticks from Revlon. And on MAC, this for sure… 😉

Judith Avatar

I would spend a solid 200$ on different hakuhodo brushes. Then another 100$ on two Dior eye shadow palettes. I would then try to find and buy the urban decay theodora palette, buy tarte blush in exposed and probably find and OCC lip tar in a purple shade. My last 100$ would be in guerlain meteorite and some urban decay flashy eyeliners for the bottom lash line.

Rachel Avatar

$500…Wow. Ok, here is my list:

I would buy:
– 4 Givenchy Le Rouge which are still on my wish list – Fuschia Irresistible, Carmin escarpin, Brun Createur, Magnolia, Hibiscus exclusive….thats more than 4 already!! Hmmmmmmm….. Amend header to 5 Givenchy Le rouge lip pies
– 2 Guerlain Rouge Gs – Genna, Gigolo
– Tom Ford True Coral Lippy and Lovelust blush (its your favourite….has to be tried!!),
– Some high end brushes which I cant dream of buying otherwise!!

Jamie Avatar

First, I would go for some higher end products than I normally purchase. I’m really wanting to try the Guerlain meteorites light perfecting primer and compact powder, I’d pick up the Dior Skin foundation, I loved the sample I got. I also want to try the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. I’d pick up a couple Chanel lipsticks for sure and with what what was left I’d buy a couple more Smashbox Be Legendary lipsticks for fall, some brushes.

Stephanie tp Avatar

Honestly? A bunch of weird lipstick colors, and then the rest would go towards backup eyebrow pencil, lingering from Mac. I go through pencil like water!

Astrild Avatar

Oh, no!!! I’m in my no-makeup-buy month!!!. Ok, it will be October. I would try:

-Chanel and Shiseido Foundations
-New Chanel cream blushes
-More YSL Rouge Velupté Shine lipsticks
-Giorgio Armani lip products and Eyes to Kill mascara
– of course, one or two of the Givenchy Le Rouge (Temptalia recomendation)
¿any money left? Hakohodo brushes

PoetrysTruth Avatar

I would probably finish setting up my make up space in my bedroom…has a nice new desk…but not much else! I would get a FUNKY girly chair, lighted mirror, muji boxes and other cute storage. Those are beauty products right? LOL OR…

I might splurge on 6 or 7 Tom Ford items (hee hee hee hee)

sunny Avatar

A couple of those Hourglass ambient lighting powders, Hourglass veil foundation, Lorac Pro Palette. And, maybe the rest on skincare. I’ve been wanting to try the glam glow and Kate Somerville Exfolikate. Those are on my must have list for now..

Tam Avatar

Since I’m all about skincare, I would buy a Clarisonic or Clarisonic Mia for deep cleansing and exfoliation. I would also buy a NuFace Trinity At-Home Microcurrent Facial Toning Device ($295) to keep wrinkles and aging at bay. As a past acne sufferer, I ‘ve learned that clear skin is of the utmost importance for my confidence, and makes makeup application easy and fun. With clear skin, you’re more than halfway there in completing your look.

Lisa Avatar

Easy, I would blow it entirely on perfumes

Atelier Vanille Insensee – 100mL
Frederic Malle Iris Poudre – 50mL
Chanel Coromandel – 100mL

I think I am over already -_-

Veronica Avatar

I’d probably wipe out a significant amount of my wish list, which rounds out to an embarrassing ~$600. First thing I’d probably go after is Guerlain’s Gigolo, which I’ve been eying for awhile but have been saving as a birthday guest. 🙂

Veronica Avatar

Haha, it’s not as conservative as it sounds. 😀 My wish list only contains higher end, permanent items that I can afford to wait on. It doesn’t count LE or impulse buys that may pop up in the meanwhile. Once that’s included, I’m sure it’s closer to $1,000. 😛

Julia Avatar

Rikki Poynter Avatar

Sugarpill’s Cold Chemistry palette and I would buy my face, basically. I want a good foundation, concealer, and setting powder that gives me a nice looking base. I’m not sure what I would do with the rest.

Karen Avatar

I walk around with a wishlist in my head or my phone – a couple of MAC lipsticks ($30), a Tom Ford quad I’ve had my eye on, some of the new Goss brushes ($17- $210), and the rest at Sephora on various goodies.

Kate Avatar

I’m embarrassed to admit that I could easily spend WAY MORE than $500 from the wish list that I have going now. (Although the mark up in Canada is way higher than it should be, so $500 would represent quite as much here as in the US.)

I would probably divide up the dollars by brand- About $100 each to Rouge Bunny Rouge, Chantecaille, Burberry, Armani and Guerlain. (Although I might swap one of those with Marc Jacobs, since I want to get more of their shadow palettes.) Even then, I feel like I’m leaving out some favourites…

Melissa Avatar

I would buy…
Tom Ford Love Lust Blush $56, CHANEL JOUES CONTRASTE POWDER BLUSH in Rose Initiale $43, Burberry Beauty Natural Blush in Coral Pink $42, Le Métier de Beauté Eyeshadow Brush $40, Le Métier de Beauté Blush Brush $55, Chanel Loose Powder $52, Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No.3 in Ingenue 102 $42, Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush $52, 11 MAC Eyeshadow Refill Pans ($10 each) $110. Total : $492

Lauren Avatar

I have so much makeup, honestly, I have no idea. I have a $100 giftcard to Sephora and I’m debating how to spend it. Maybe on a new concealer + a replacement clairsonic brush + a holiday set when those come out. I couldn’t even imagine how I would spend $500.

Well fragrances ! 500 € 🙂 let’s go ! I would purchase Guerlain Vol de Nuit, Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist, YSL Paris, Editions Frédéric Malle Une Rose. ( 90 €, 140 €, 90€, 140 € ).
No makeup 😉 ? I have spent already ( but not 500 € ! )

Kelsey Avatar

NARS satin lip pencil x2 (lodhi & yu) $60, NARS blush in orgasm $30, NARS lipgloss in orgasm $30, Bobbi Brown lipgloss in canary $30, I would finish my mac blush palettes which would be about $200, Urban Decay 24/7 liners in psychedelic sister, freak, electric, yeyo, cuff and chaos which would be another $120, and I’d finish off with sigma’s new liners in the neutral kit and one individual in drift. All together I come out at something like $505. And my prices are in canadian.

Sigh…..thanks for that live, wishing, hoping, day dreaming moment 🙂

doroffee Avatar

Naked2 palette, Lorac Pro palette, a MAC mineralize blush, a Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush, an Hourglass whateverlight powder and loads of American drugstore products not available in my country (Revlon lip butters, Maybelline color whispers and the mandarin shade from the Vivids line, a bunch of drugstore jumbo lip pencils, Milano Luminoso blush, NYX blushes).

AngieButterfly Avatar

I’d finally invest in the Lorac Pro and UD Naked 2 Palettes.
Get a few more new UD lipsticks and add the matching lip pencils.
Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation because I really need coverage.
Some Chanel blushes – both cream and powder.
Some MAC blushes and a couple lipsticks.
Try out a ridiculous priced item from Cle De Peau because why the heck not?

I really want that $500 for skin care. Lol.

I’d buy a bottle of Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir ($160), NARS blushes in Taos, Luster and Oasis ($135), NARS Persia Eyeshadow ($39), and I’d order a few Urban Decay lipsticks and lip pencils with the rest.

KaseyCannuck Avatar

I would treat myself to some Guerlain Meteorites and Lingerie de Peau foundation, and an Hourglass Dim Light. That gets me to about $200 CAD so the balance would probably go to some great brushes.

Mariella Avatar

I love the Lingerie de Peau foundation. I love it so much that I don’t even balk now at the price (okay, I shudder a bit but I’ve got used to it). When I think of how much I wasted on drug store foundations, the price of one that actually works turns out to be more economical than you’d think.

Amanda R Avatar

1. Wayne Goss’ complete brush line ($210)
2. Marc Jacobs The Lolita palette ($59)
3. CdP concealer ($70)
4. Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders in Mood Light and Luminous Light ($45 x 2 = 90)
5. Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Tremble ($26)
6. Bite Beauty lipstick in Granache ($24)
7. Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde ($21)

Krista Avatar

Wow so many things lol! I’d get Le Mertier de Beaute eyeshadow single in Fig, Hourglass lip gloss in Siren, One of the Hourglass nude lipstick pencils, Bite Beauty Cashmere lip product in Port, Make-up Geek shadows, Inglot shadows. Also a bunch of Jordana, milani and Nyx stuff I’ve been holding off on. I’d also get the other Beaute liqui-gel stains and the whale palette from Chantecaille.

Mariella Avatar

The only things I’m really wanting/planning to buy just now are the new Tarte powder foundation and brush, the Stila In the Light palette (maybe) and some things from Clarins – a pressed powder, lipstick and their new mascara. So I’d buy those and then get a few things I’d like but don’t need from Urban Decay, Nars and Hourglass (just another shadow duo – Gypsy). I’d get Dior Rose and Amber Diamond. I’d probably get the new Guerlain LdeP BB cream. I’d probably still have $150 to 200 left but I’m sure I could find some other little goodies to spend it on! I’m sure there are things I want from Lorac and Laura Mercier….I just can’t remember what now! Oh and I’d like to try MAC Accentuate powder but the Mac near me doesn’t have it and I don’t want to order it sight unseen but with $500 of “mad money”, I might not care! What a nice problem to have!

Mariella Avatar

Okay, scratch the Gypsy duo and more shadows from Nars and UD. I would order 3 to 5 Rouge Bunny Rouge eye shadows (and maybe a holder for them). Abyssinian Catbird, Bohemian Waxwing, Delicate Hummingbird, Olive Violetear, maybe Solstice Halcyon. Yeah, that is what I really would do. The other stuff can wait!

Greta Avatar

Hmmmm…

$15 on Ruby Woo
$100 on Guerlain le Rouge in Greta and Garcone
$50 on a Tom Ford lipstick
$60 on a Giorgio Armani foundation
A little less than 200 on Perfume

FiaSpice Avatar

Clé de Peau #2 Lip Gloss would be the first on my list (I’d get 2 of them!. NARS Tolede Lipstick, NARS Rikugien Satin Lip Pencil, I’d get some Bliss body butter and shower gel in the biggest size, the whole Sephora + Pantone collection (execpt eyeliner and false lashes) and the Disney/Ariel Whatcha-Nail-Callit 6 Piece Nail Set. I think I must be at $500

Nars Rotonde and Lovejoy blushes=$70
theBalm Instain in Swiss Dot= $22
UD 24/7 liquid eyeliner in Perversion=$19 (Had one, can never get myself to repurchase b/c of price)

Seanik Shampoo bar & tin $13
Imperialis moisturizer $25
Ocean Salt $22
Karma Perfume $30
Angels on Bare Skin $14

Erin Avatar

A bunch of Nars and Tarte blushes, YSL and Laura Mercier foundations, Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders, several Mac lipsticks and various other highlighters and lip products. Too scared to do the math on all of that!

Wow I really wish I could buy all this right now… Maybe I have a mysterious guardian angel?

Jan Avatar

100 comments – wow.
And kudos to the one’s who knew the brand, the line, the product, the color and the price.

I had to think on that one because my natural tendency is to save for a rainy day (boring huh)?

I do like the Chanel Crème Blush de Chanel line. I have one and there is one other that I want (color escapes me).

I also want to try the Chanel loose powder.

Beyond that, I need to find something that moisturizes the body without clogging pores. My face isn’t a big problem, it just “glows.” But body lotions clog my skin pores and make me look like I have hives all over – actually, I suppose I really do have hives all over. I’m going to exhaust $400 of the $500 in search of a solution. It itches and hurts so it’s more than just the way the skin looks..

Nikki Avatar

MUFE HD Primer in 0 – $34
MUFE F&B Foundation (2 shades) – $80
MUFE Pro Finish Powder Foundation – $36
Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette – $50
Urban Decay 24/7 Double-Ended Eyeliner – $12
MAC Driven by Love Lipglass – $20
MAC Rebel Lipglass – $15
Sephora Collection Classic Mineral Powder Brush #45 – $24
Soap & Glory The Daily Smooth Body Butter – $20

I’d spend the rest restocking on my holy grail staples over time as needed.

VickyM Avatar

If I had 500 I would spend them on a trip, but If it had to be makeup I would buy Guerlain Madame Batifole, a new Chanel Rouge Allure the fuchsia one, a Chanel nail polish, Guerlain Madame Rougit and a pencil eyeliner.

Courtney K Avatar

I don’t know exactly what I’d get, but it would probably be some mega skincare products, some Chanel eye pallets & nail polish, and a few Hourglass liquid lippies.

Kady Avatar

Deborah Lippman polishes, NARS Dragon Girl, a couple permanent MAC lipsticks, the Sephora + Pantone Color of the Year 2013 set, LORAC Pro, Tarte blushes galore… Gah, too many things!
