How or where do you apply fragrance?

I typically apply the most to my neck/chest area, getting some on my clothes as well. I’ve been trying to spray more on my arm/wrist area after moisturizing.

I don’t apply to my wrists as I wash my hands so often. I apply halfway up my arm- behind my ears – to declotage. If it’s a light scent I want to -last my hair. I use the dermatological body oil first before applying. Scents don’t last on dry skin and I lean dry.

I prefer sprays.

For me it depends on the clothes I’m wearing that day. I try to avoid applying fragrance directly on my skin, but I don’t want to spray it on clothes that might be stained or damaged.
I also rarely do more than 1-3 sprays, I prefer high concentration fragrances applied in small doses.

On myself usually I spray once on the right side of my neck towards the back. If I wear a blouse that would be damaged by fragrance it’s most likely under the ear. But if my top can take it, I spray such that the fragrance hits both the skin and clothing.
If I wear a scarf or layering piece (blazer, open sweater, duster, etc.) that are constant part of my outfit (not something I take of indoors), I’ll spray them with the fragrance, but always in the interior, around the chest area.

I only spray my wrist on special occasions, additional to the neck / chest area. But if I wear something than exposes my arms, I’ll prefer to spray the inside of the elbow not the wrist.

Spray: 1 spray directly onto my upper chest/neck before getting dressed, if it’s a lower fragrance concentration (like an EdT) I’ll also spray onto one wrist and rub my wrists together.

Rollerball/Dauber: A dab each on my wrists, neck, lower back, and backs of my knees.

I apply daily after I shower and moisturize, I like to smell nice even if I’m just at home! Also I own about 25 perfume bottles lol and I’m trying to work through them. If I’m going out then I apply right before I dress for the outing.

If it’s spray I do one kind of on each side and do the whole walk through thing for each side lol.
I mostly wear perfume oil these days though, so dab on both sides of my neck, one dab on back of neck, and upper wrist area. In summertime I actually apply it halfway up my arms. And if I feel like slathering it on and REALLY wanting others to smell it too then I do my chest also.

I spray it where I’m inclined to get warm, back of my neck, inside elbows, chest area. Someone in the perfume business once told me years ago (he was fierce and adamant) never rub a fragrance, spray it and let it lay or you breaks up the fragile notes/components. He made such an impression whether right or wrong I just spray and let it lay. Funny how certain people can tell you something in a certain way and it just sticks and becomes habit.

Base of neck, cleavage, stomach, small of back, creases of elbows and behind knees. Never on my wrists. Regardless of what I am wearing (pants or skirt) the back of my knees are a must. Helps scent move when you do.

Always on the clothes. Never on skin directly unless it’s an oil based perfume (then it’s on the wrists, neck, behind ears). Alcohol on my skin (it darkens my skin) and hair is a No No (grays hair). Best to use hair mists to avoid graying hair.

If the perfume is a heavy (winter season scent) then I apply 3-6 sprays all over clothes.

If it’s a summer scent then I go to town. Might reach 10 sprays.

Placement : chest area, stomach, thighs.
Keep a small distance to avoid perfume stains.
