I mentioned yesterday, in my part of Ontario, it’s still snowin’ and cold! We usually don’t really have a spring the way y’all would!!

Here, it snows from October, to mid April/early May. And then everything melts, and in the span of May, it shoots UP to 20+ Degrees. And all of a sudden we are all in shorts and tshirts! So for us, spring it just a month of mud and slush LOL.

So for me, I use the same winter routine I’m currently using (BHA, Topical Acne Treatment, Serum, Lotion, Hydrating over night mask, MAYBE a facial oil If my skin is really feeling tight!) Or I’ll switch to just a medium weight cream at night and not use the facial oil or mask!

And in the day time, I’d go from using a thicker cream, so using a light serum. I wear SPF50+ year round, 24/7. So in the summer I just keep using my same SPF!!!

As of right now in my life, it hasnt. My skincare regime is the same as in the spring as it is in winter. I wash with Cera Ve. I use Paula Choice 2% BHA liquid and a serum. I have two I rotate just bc. One from Derma E and one from Olay. I use a facial mist if I feel I need it.

It won’t be spring in Wisconsin for a couple months still. The only thing I really change is how often I use lotion on my body. My face is dry year round, but my body gets especially dry in the winter.

I got a Body Shop Drops of Youth set (serum and moisturizer) on sale at Ulta and have started using that in the morning, followed by my usual jojoba oil. My evening routine hasn’t changed.

It hasn’t at least so far. It’s February 28th and I’m still very much into the Winter Uber Hydration mode and will continue until mid-April.
I’ve found that it works for me to continue with this regimen until the season really does change and for good. Too much ping ponging doesn’t do my skin any favors.

I don’t change my routine until April because it definitely still is winter in the Northeast. In warmer weather I alternate between a prescription retinoid and an AHA at night. I continue that routine in cold weather but I skip a night in between and just use hyaluronic serum and moisturizer on the off nights. In warm weather I also resume the use of a facial scrub (which is irritating in winter) and switch to a stronger cleanser as the second step of my double cleanse. In the past, I used the deep pore cleansing Clarisonic brush in summer but I switched to the delicate skin brush for winter and I may not switch back. I use 30 SPF all year round.

A lot more hydration. Face, lips, eyes and neck. In Florida it’s not had a real winter, so we’ve had days in high 70’s with humidity, which equals drying skin for my body. Sunscreen lotion recommended by my dermatologist @30% spf. That’s year round, now I add a 50% spf after that dries before applying foundation and blush when I plan on being in sun all day. At night I’ve added a vitamin c oil to face and neck, then serum then moisturizer. Yes, I have a lot of moisturizers. I’m 58 and my family knows how I dread wrinkles and buy me a nice moisturizer for Christmas.

I will probably alternate using my cleansers for oily skin and exfoliate more often. I am having a challenge with hormonal breakouts right now, as I approach 50. I live in a humid environment so I will be looking to a more mattifying daytime moisturizer.

BTW, I am loving the fact Differin gel is now available OTC.
